Summary: I've tried the previous generation of Carcharias, the Corsair Vengeance 1300, and Creative's Recon3D with Tactic3D Sigma and Omega Wireless. The previous Carcharias sounded good, and this one sounds better, for the most part - music is full without sounding artificially boomy (once you turn the bass down halfway). I think the USB connection is acting as a headphone amp. But that's also it's drawback - the USB power adds high-pitched noise.
Summary: First off I'd like to say I've had two pairs of these headsets, the first one lasting around 6 months and the second one lasting around 10 months, they've both had the same issue which after a lot of usage, sound through one cup cuts out and only supporting a wire in a certain position corrects this, I'm certain other people have had this problem after using this headset for a large amount of time.
Summary: Ok so I got this headset about 3 months ago looking to upgrade from my £20 headset. I am now back to using the £20 set to talk to friends because this headset makes life for them a living hell with all the weird buzzing and static noises that come through the mic on this headset. I have tried using an external USB source which eliminates the buzzing mostly on my end but it still causes weird noises through the mic and I've tried all other kinds of tricks like messing...
Summary: This is a great headset and all but when I bought this one as a replacement for my broken one, I used it for about a month no problems and then I started getting buzzing sounds in the left ear constantly Would recommend if in constant use Wouldn't recommend if not, because I have to put mine around my neck when not in use to avoid buzzing sounds
