Gamers will appreciate the headset's comfort, but music fans may want to look elsewhere. We tested Razer’s Carcharias gaming headset immediately after we finished our review of Logitech’s G35 headset , which is also largely targeted at gamers. As we unpacked the former, two things surprised us: Its light weight and the fact that it relies on analog connections to your PC’s line-out and mic-in jacks. The Carcharias is definitely old-school. There's nothing shark-like about the Carcharias which is a great headset whichever way you look at it, music excepted. Read more
The Carcharias are very comfortable, with big padding that rests around my ears rather than resting on them, which made it really easy for me to wear for the long gaming sessions. There is also padding around the headband and your standard adjustable sliding sides. The sliding sides seem to accommodate to even the biggest of heads, as mine is about half an inch from the smallest it can be, and my head is huge! Read more

On the design front the Carcharias continues to impress. It is one of the most comfortable headsets available thanks to the way it sits on our head and the pressure used to hold the earcups around our ears. The sliding mechanism to extend the length of the headset is also an impressive aspect of the headset and increases the chances of finding a fit which suits every user. Read more
Even after 8 hours of constant use, this headset was still comfortable. Since the large padded cans rest against the user’s head rather than the ears, there is no sharp pain after wearing them for a couple hours like some other headsets. Read more

These are pricey, but so far they seem worth it. They are very comfortable, and I could probably wear them all day without any discomfort. As for sound quality, I found them to be better than expected. Nice bass, and overall sound is easy on the ears. According to people I chatted with, the mic sounds nice and clear. I like the braided sheath on the cable - nice touch! Read more
So I'm an arrogant sissy. Big head and tender ears, which have never endured other headset/phone combos for more than a week or two of intermittent use. I've been using these Razer Cacharias for five months now, and I hope they last five years. The product description says "extreme comfort" and for once the hype is justified imo. I sometimes wear these for hours at a time, gaming at night--something I could never do before. Read more or see product
I didn't drop an egg for the cons cause they really aren't that bad, the clip doesn't need to be clipped to anything cause it is so light, although it would be great if it would. About the discomfort with the headset sliding, I think it is only doing this because it is new and just needs to be broken in. Read more
I purchased these both for use in PC video games as well as podcasting. My main concern for both uses was comfort over extended periods of time, and Razer delivers in that area especially. The ear cups feel like almost nothing at all, the mic is lightweight and top band is isn't tight at all. I found the mic did not need much adjustment, and the sound quality is perfectly fine for the price. Read more
My wife and I game. I got her an Alienware with a set of these headphones. After getting these for her, I ordered myself a pair, also. They are NOT uncomfortable, and the cord is like 9' long and cloth covered, no tangles. I would highly recommend these. Read more or see product
These headphones have very good sound quality and are very comfortable. I'm able to listen a lot better with these headphones when I'm playing my games. The only problems I really have with them is I turn the volume all the way up, including my computers volume, and they don't sound loud at all. Another problem I have is I get some feedback but you can't really hear it if your playing video games or listening to music. Read more

I recently purchased the Razer Carcharias headset at first it worked just fine. and I had to take my computer to the shop for repairs. Once I got the computer back, and running only one speaker on the headset works though the headest is fine.
