Everything I Hoped For

Grant H., Newegg

  • Summary: I'm going to start out this review being completely honest. You are either interested in this headset or you aren't. For the money there are probably many other headsets that gaming wise do a much better job because they are 5.1 or even 7.1 for a similar price.
  • Pros: - Great Sound - Good Microphone - Extremely Comfortable - Amazing Sound Insulation - Solid, Metal Construction - Nice design
  • Cons: - Expensive for only being a stereo headset - Mic boom filler piece doesn't fit perfectly, see below for explanation - No inline control, but I'm fine without one - Tricky packaging

Well Loved and Still Alive

Denton L., Newegg

  • Summary: Small dining sounds from a few metal pieces that prevent the cups from rotating 180 degrees. Stick a piece of paper in there or something thicker and they don't do it anymore. KEEP AWAY FROM RODENTS THAT LIKE TO CHEW ON THINGS.
  • Pros: Bass is great, reaches anywhere with the adapter and I love the design. It's durable to the point where I'm pretty sure they've been stepped on several times and haven't been broken. The mic boom doesn't interfere with anything nor get in my field of view and my friends love the mic quality. It's...
  • Cons: Wish the cord was at least braided. I would've paid an extra ten bucks just for that since bunnies love the cable. I've had to replace my headset because they chewed through the cable. They don't like braided stuff, though, and it would also make less stuff collect to the cable. It doesn't interf...

Better than you might think.

  • Summary: When using some basic EQ changes, these Headphones are a far superior product. Great clarity and power. The price is about right considering what a REAL pair of audiophile cans cost. These are the poor man's alternative and they look awesome doing it!
  • Pros: Awesome construction quality. Really solidly made set of cans. Very aviation-esque with a great mic boom. Lots of fun for flight sims :) Good mic quality as told by my friends listening. Headband is steel with a stitched pleather cushion. Material on the ears is is comfortable for long wear with ...
  • Cons: Very skinny cord. This is a little worrying on such an otherwise well-built product. Baby it though, and it should be okay for a long time. With stouter wiring it would be an amazing product, and I can't imagine it'll hurt audio quality either. Sound is also low-to-middling in default configurati...

  • Summary: awesome product. I use it every day for conference calls for work and people tell me that it sounds like I am in the room with them. The over ear works GREAT and i can hear everything. I heard this was a gamer set, developed by and for Video Gamers. And I always thought those folks didn't do much.

Really good Mic

Ryan S., Amazon
9 October 2015
  • Summary: Best headset I ever had, but I have only ever had cheap ones before. I bought this headset because I like the metal adjustable boom and it works just as I had imagined. I knew when I bought this that the ear pad shape would probably not be that great and it is a little odd (I prefer the rounder...

  • Summary: This headset overall is great. If your have somewhat big ears however this headset turns into more of an on ear than over ear headset.

The cables don't overstretch/break that easily (since I dropped it and pulled by accident too)

  • Summary: This headset is superb. The cushions and the adjustable cups fits my ear perfectly. Been using 2 years and all it needs was the cushion replacement. Dropped it a few times by accident but it still going strong.

User Review

John E., Newegg

  • Summary: If you move your head from shoulder to shoulder you can head a slight tink noise. It's the stop that keeps the headphones from fully rotating around full circle. Just something to consider. Price is well worth it in my opinion.
  • Pros: Firstly, this is my first review I've ever done on newegg after years and thousands of dollars spent. I mainly chose this headset because I will admit I am a Razer fanboy. I have had many other brands of headsets including Razer in the past and they just couldn't last. So this time I went looking...
  • Cons: No inline volume control can get annoying but that's the part I broke on my last Razer headset and the reason I had to get a new one. So it might save me in the long run.

Great Headset

jesus o., Newegg
21 June 2015
  • Pros: all in a run on sentence these headphones are great had them for over a year now and still working like if i just unboxed them i mainly got them because they are made of metal which is stronger and less chance of cracking and eventually snapping like the previous headphones i owned, another plus ...
  • Cons: non,but since its been a year, one of the ear cups leather lining has opened up at the seam so the memory foam/cushion is exposed but not affecting me negatively
