Summary: Well unfortunately here is yet another pair of headphones that are just sub-par in the comfort department. I should have known better since Razer is widely known for making poor headsets, good mice. These are unlike any of the other headphones I have bought/tried though because they have an oblong verticle shape which normally would be fine but Razer managed to mess that up. It would be okay if the earcups were not so small.
Summary: Both of the pads ripped open in the same week, both torn on the seam. The cable for the mic also stopped working the week after. If you're looking for a headset that will last you a little over a year then by all means pick these up.
Summary: The sound for these cans suck. Without any eq settings, the bass clearly overpowers the mids and highs. I tried lowering the lower frequencies, but what I got was even worse. The mids and highs sounded distorted and lack some serious detail. It also sounded wrong, listening to my favourite songs made me sick. It is like it wasn't balanced or something, and the mids and highs sounded really weird and is extremely harsh. It also has that really bloated sound.
Summary: I always buy headsets for around the £80-£100 mark. I have been using Razor products for years and their quality and innovation keep me buying their products. Unfortunately, these BlackShark headphones are some of the worst headphones I have owned and are not worth the money, not by a long way. Yes, the build quality is excellent and the styling is very cool but those are the only things that compare to other headphones in this price range.
21 November 2013
Summary: Das Headset an sich ist super.
