THE ONLY BENCHMARK FOR ALL GAMING HEADSETS...PERIOD!!
30 December 2011
Summary: This headphone kicks ass!! I've had this baby for 2 yrs now, and none....NONE can compare to this headphone! with independent speakers...not to mention the BASS! its heaven when playing BF3! I was totally immersed in the game with this baby! The bass setting and the THUMP!..
Summary: Good set of headphones; I do like the little LEDs that light up the sides of the 'phones and with 8 channels give an avid gamer like me nearly in full surround-sound; especially helpful when you're heaing impaired AND trying to get sound quality as well as quantity.
Summary: These are not 8 channels(7.1) there are 5.1 which is 6 channels. If you dont believe me look at razers site, [...] it states "True In-Game Surround Sound for Enhanced Positional Audio A 5.1-channel surround audio enables accurate positional audio in gameplay.
Summary: I bought these for using when playing online games and using the ventrilo client for conversing with others while playing. I have an Audigy 2 sound card and they work extremely well for the games as well as the surround sound in the game.
Big improvement over similarly priced Creative Fatal1ty Pro Headphones!

Summary: Just bought a set of these, and they sound much better than the Creative Fatal1ty Pro headphones that sell for the same price. The Creative set doesn't offer surround sound either, but these do - worth the money, since otherwise you'd have to buy something like the Astro A40's or the Tritton...
Summary: I love these headphones. It should be noted I have both the headphones and the sound card and that is the difference I think. The directional sound is good and I have had no problems with any of the drivers or speakers or the mic.
Summary: The Razer HP-1 Barracuda headset is very good headset, It sounds excellent with my Creative X-FI using the attached Dongle, but even better when paired with the Razer AC-1 Soundcard, It does however have a weakness in audio quality and "3d" sound when used with only stereo input "as on my laptops...
Summary: The same as the Turtle Beach Earforce HPA2 expt it has the fancy connector that plugs directly into the back of the Razer soundcard. You can save yourself $30 or more by ordering the The same as the Turtle Beach Earforce HPA2 instead.
Summary: This headset is one of the best I have ever used. I have 2 complaints. The adjustment dials don't lock into place and are easily knocked out of prime settings. Once you get used to handling the volume module it is easy to avoid touching any dials.
Summary: I have had for a few days now and I can say this headset is very good quality. For the ventrillo problem one person had in a earlier comment, I just adjust the vollume controlls and mic controlls for about 10 mins till and got it to come in clear and without background noise.
