Summary: Just receiving my QSC KSub (purchased elsewhere, but I do shop on Amazon and would like to provide feedback for this item) and I was able to test it out at home. I am a Dj who is very mobile and was looking for a sub that I could manage alone and this fits my needs perfectly. I do weddings, coorporate events, etc. First of all, it's built extremely sturdy. Second, this is a very professional looking sub.
Summary: DUDE THIS UNIT KICKS AT FIRST I WAS GOING TO GET THE KW181 SUB BUT I WENT AND HEARD THE KSUB AT GUITAR CENTER AND I WAS SOLD I USE THE K12'S FOR THE TOPS AND DUDE THEY KICK AND I LIKE THE WAY YOU PUT THE K12'S ON TOP SO I WENT AND PURCHASED ONE MORE KSUB AND THE SYSTEM IS COMPLETE AND SOUND AWESOME INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AND CLEAR I USE A SONIC MAXIMIZER ON MY SYSTEM.
Summary: The KSub is the most compact AND powerful sub I've ever used. My band, 7k, recently used them on a 7-week US Tour and used them in every kind of venue imaginable. We also loaded them in and out of every one of those places! They are truly well-designed, reliable, and sound fantastic. In addition to live vocals and instruments, we also ran full-range loops through them and we never ran out of headroom ... ever! For even more detail, please watch my YouTube videos.
Summary: As a mobile DJ/turntablist who only works 5x-10x a year, I always try to find ways to downsize my setup. I have since gone from JBL EONs to Bose L1s, but found my 15" sub was still the biggest hinderance in achieving the goal of shorter setup time and lighter load, but I still need that thump on the floor.
Summary: I would say this ksub is a large step up from my Mackie 1801. I have used this the KSub on 63 Gigs and am very very pleased with the sound and the quality of this sub. I loved this speaker so much I ordered a second one for those gigs that have to have all that low end. I paired them up with the JBL 635S AND LET ME SAY I THINK THATS A REALLY GREAT SOUND. I would highly recommend this product.
Summary: Yes sir ! Just like the song says, you can definitely feel this bass in your face !....and your stomach and ears, etc...lol I picked up one of these beauties, seriously the housing is definitely sharp looking and clean. DJ'd a wedding for 375 people on Saturday, inside a room that could easily accomodate twice as many people. I paired these up with a pair of Mackies SRM450's v.1 and a pair of Yamaha's MSR400's.
Summary: I was disappointed. The sound just was not that great. I returned this speaker. Now I want to add that it arrived in very poor condition in a very flimsy box which had holes in it. There also was some kind of fluid spill on the back circuit board near a switch. I don't know if there was something wrong with this particular speaker, or if the K12 just isn't what it is cracked up to be.
Tight sounding kicks and bass for live applications.

Summary: I own both the KW181s and these KSubs. The KW181 is used for large venues and these KSubs are used for small to medium venues with up to 300 people. The KSubs are definitely punchy and clean whereas the KW181s are boomy. It's definitely personal preference when it comes to sound, but from my experience, the KSubs produce tighter kicks and bass for live band applications.
Sounds good, but can't seem to get one delivered unscathed.

Summary: Normally I wouldn't post this kind of info, as this usually is the fault of the carrier, however, this is a bit extreme. QSC is doing themselves NO favors with how they are packing these... *1st one - arrived, clearly been dropped by UPS. Huge hole in the box too where the wheels are. Amazon vendor to submitted a damage claim, and after dropping it off at UPS (UPS accepted the claim without inspecting it), they shipped me....
