The Voyager 520 measures 2.6 x 0.7 x 0.5 inches, weighs only 0.56 ounces and is now an in-ear headset as opposed to the over-the-ear design of the older Voyager 510. The headset comes in a high-gloss black color with chrome and carbon fiber accents. Targeted at the mobile business professional, the Voyager 520’s design is modern and sleek looking while providing first-class functionality.
The Voyager 520’s ear bud is made of soft and comfortable rubber while the ear loops are made of flexible silicon. The ear loop has a swiveling as well as a rotating feature. The swivel movement allows the wearer to adjust the fit for different ear positions. With the rotating feature, the headset can be used on either ear.
This Bluetooth headset has a noise canceling microphone that also reduces wind noise. And with Plantronics’ AudioIQ technology, the Voyager 520 not only reduces ambient noise but also enhances the sound of human voices allowing for clearer conversations.
The Plantronics Voyager 520 features Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity which has a transmission range of up to 33 feet. It also has Plantronics’ QuickPair and MultiPoint technologies. MultiPoint allows pairing the headset with two Bluetooth-enabled devices and the ability to quickly switch between the two.
