The music will pause when a call comes in and will resume when the call is ended.
The Voyager 855 comes in a black and silver color scheme and measures 2.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 inches. Without the stereo earbuds, the compact headset weighs in at only 0.38 ounces. With the attachment, the device weighs 0.5 ounces. The headset has a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that has a rated battery life of 7 hours of talk time, 160 hours on stand by and up to 6 hours of music playback.
The device comes with an AC charger which connects via a micro USB cable, additional ear loops and ear buds as well as the stereo cable attachment.
The Voyager 855’s ear buds feature an in-ear design that blocks out unwanted background noise as well as seals in the sound. The boom has a sliding mechanism that allows the wearer to get the microphone closer. The slide may also be used to answer incoming calls as well as hang up a call.
With Plantronics’ AudioIQ technology, ambient noises are minimized while the sound of natural voices are digitally enhanced making for better clarity on both ends of the conversation. Pairing the Voyager 855 to a Bluetooth-enabled phone is also easier with the manufacturer’s QuickPair technology.

The Plantronics Voyager 855 is a headset with a split personality. It looks and acts like a regular headset that, when attached to its included secondary earpiece, becomes a set of A2DP stereo headphones. Ricky tries it out and likes what he hears. Read more
Above, a quick video detailing my thoughts on the Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth Stereo Headset ($99.95). The Voyager 855 is a neat little headset and fairly versatile with two snazzy features. The first is that it has a slide-out boom microphone which also let you answer and hang up on phone calls. The second is that it comes with a specialized earhook attached to a 2nd headphone - turning it from a regular Bluetooth headset into an A2DP Bluetooth headset. Read more

I use my Bluetooth for work every day, and so I did a lot of research when it came time to replace my 2-year-old Jabra after its battery died. I decided on Plantronics Voyager 855 but have not been at all happy with it. It does not feel secure in my ear, and the sound quality for those I am calling is demonstrably worse than on the Jabra. In all, it's very disappointing, especially as I had imagined a jump in quality over a 2-year-old product. Comment Read more

How can you sell a headset with no Voice Command Button ? With this headset you have to hit the VC button on your phone, which on the Motorola Q, does not work when locked and is really a pain. Read more
I've had my Voyager 855 for about 2 weeks and it's been working pretty well. Setup is really easy with my Blackjack 2. Mine came with 3 sizes of silicon noise isolating ear pieces and a foam earpiece. The stereo option is cool but my music doesn't always stream that well unless my phone is on the same side of my body as the receiver. Overall its a good deal even as just a bluetooth headset for phone calls. Read more
The ease of use was good and bluetooth setup to phone was easy. Sound quality is not good. Even with volume all the way up, I could hear better on my phone than the headset. Callers heard more feedback than when just on phone too. Noise canceling is non existent on this headset. Read more
