259$???

Chris H., Newegg
28 January 2015
  • Pros: lightweight, excellent range, long battery life.
  • Cons: I bought 30 of these for my users at 59.99$ a piece. I might be mistaken, but this device is legacy and no longer warranty'd by the manufacturer... Loses connection with base about once every month a few of the units. Batteries are champion... Just not replaceable. Get the solder iron and guitar ...

Fantastic performance, cheap container

Justin W., Newegg
16 September 2009
  • Summary: I would give this one star for the rubber separation issue, but the performance is still outstanding. If you can find one that will stay together, you'll love this device.
  • Pros: Provides outside loudness, battery life, and noise reduction compared to the other pieces I've tried (about 10 in all from Motorola, Jabra, et al). It's really nicely positioned on my ear as well, so I rarely notice it (in fact, the wife complains that I leave it in too often).
  • Cons: I've owned three of these and all three of them have had the same issue noted by others with the rubber separating from the rest of the unit. It's a real disappointment, given how well the device works. The rubber helps cushion the areas of contact with the ear, but now it looks like I've been be...

Nice, until it fell apart...

Michael S., Newegg
24 August 2009
  • Summary: I liked this headset quite alot, until about 3 months ago. I'm pretty gentle with my electronics, so I was surprised when I saw the rubber seperating from the part of the device that goes behind the ear.
  • Pros: Comfortable, excellent sound quality, great range, good battery life.
  • Cons: Rubber part disintigrated in less then a year, but AFTER the warranty expired. Somewhat limitied volume...poor if you work in a noisy environment.

Not that great for me!

Anonymous, Newegg
23 June 2009
  • Summary: Love Plantronics, but they need to rethink this design. The kind with the simple loop over the ear instead of the battery pack are a lot better for me anyway.
  • Pros: Great tone quality, clear calls, decent unobstructed range.
  • Cons: The bulky battery over the ear thing is irritating as heck. The on/off button is inconvenient by comparison to my older Plantronics model. It is WAY too easy to bump the side button on this thing readjusting the fit in your ear, which I have to do CONSTANTLY, and initiating a call or hanging up o...

This is NOT a comfortable headset

Melissa M., Newegg
18 April 2009
  • Summary: Overall I'd say this was a horrible choice for me. It drove me absolutely crazy and I'm a pretty patient person. But if you don't wear glasses and don't have my, what have to be, defective ears you might be OK to listen to the other reviewers. BUT I love you Newegg. :)
  • Pros: The sound quality was good and it synced with multiple phones: Sony Ericsson TM506, LG VX8350, Samsung T629 (until it died on me) and my husband's Motorola RIZR Z3. The RIZR wasn't quite as good sound quality, but that might be because the headset was wearing out at that point. I needed a headset...
  • Cons: I am baffled as to how anyone can say this headset is a comfortable fit. I had the hardest time keeping this thing on my ear with my glasses. And without glasses, it still felt like it would pop off my ear at any second. I also could not wear it for long - even if I could get it to stay in place ...

It's okay.

Thomas A., Newegg
27 March 2009
  • Summary: Used on a Chocolate, NV, Razor, and Samsung Smartphone.
  • Pros: It worked great when I first got it. But, it didn't work for long. I used it 10 hours of the day.
  • Cons: Its not good for the long haul.

User Review

19 February 2009
  • Summary: This was my first BT and I kinda fell in love with it for about a month, at which point the unit's ability to take a charge dropped to zero in nothing flat. I knew I needed another BT, but didn't want to spend $50/mo on them, so I experimented with about 1/2 dozen less expensive models, including a...
  • Pros: Easy to get a good (and secure) fit, User-friendly design, above-average sound quality and noise-canceling
  • Cons: Weak battery life, not the smallest, lightest, or most attractive unit around,

Bad Choice

Overstock
2 January 2008
  • Summary: Earpiece shuts down too fast during idle. Does not stay on your ear that good. Was not the one I wanted anyway but tried it. Go with your gut before you buy anything.
