Plantronics Headset

James H., Newegg
27 January 2015
  • Summary: My use is for home and small home office. If I was in large office and required constant use for 8 hours, this model will be a disappointment. But for home it is perfect. I have run through several other brands and settled on this model. Previous favorite is 3x the price.
  • Pros: Light weight Cost It works
  • Cons: none

Lite weight

Dan M., Newegg
24 March 2014
  • Summary: The cord is fairly thin, so for heavy usage it may not last as long, but we have not had a problem yet. We use it abut 5 or 6 times a week over 2 years now.
  • Pros: We have purchased several of these and they work on all of our devices, desk phone, *laptop, *cell phone (*with adapter). Clarity is good on both mic and speaker. Cannot beat the price.

So-So

Richard S., Newegg
8 December 2012
  • Summary: It will serve it's purpose for now.
  • Pros: Works on both my Sprint cell phone and my Panasonic desk phone. Comfortable fit, decent construction.
  • Cons: Volume could be louder, but only seems to be an issue if there is a lot of background noise. Its fine in my quiet office but not when driving down the road in my truck.

It works and inexpensive. I recommend

Michael W., Newegg
22 June 2012
  • Pros: It's just a simple cordless phone headset but it's simple and has good volume. These type of headsets are becoming hard o find. I use it as a backup if my blutooth ear set needs charging. I work 10 hour days from home. Mostly on the phone with other IT companies. My Plantronics Explorer regularly...

Cheap, but unusable

Ben P., Newegg
8 January 2011
  • Summary: I tested it on a Samsung cellphone -- I don't know if there was an impedance mismatch, but it was hard for person I called to hear, unless I yelled. But, if I yelled, they couldn't understand.
  • Pros: Fits fairly well, but since it's unusable, I didn't wear it long.
  • Cons: Microphone picks ups other speakers better than it picks up the actual user. Transmits a continuous hiss . . . and that's indoors. I can't imagine using it outside. It's essentially unusable. But since it's apparently just a really bad design, rather than being broken, I can't return it.

Carl B., Newegg

  • Summary: good product
  • Pros: this is the third one of these I have owned. They are low cost and work well.
  • Cons: After a time they can develop a "hum" , but they are not a expensive headset
