Summary: As a late night gamer, I find it frustrating to constantly have my volume at a low level. I have a full-on home theater system, 5.1 surround sound, with a subwoofer that threatens the very sleep of those around me. For a while, I have been scouring the nets for reviews both written and in video form, and have danced around getting the very wonderful Turtle Beach brand.
Summary: This is a great set when you take into consideration the price and quality of the product. I did not buy this from amazon, i purchased them from radio shack and after taxes and adding a 2 year warranty it came out to be around $60.00. As far as audio they sound rather well for a stereo headset, meaning my set you hear everything clearly. The mic range i believe is better than the turtle beach x12's. controls are easy to use and hook up is rather simple.
Summary: This product is great. It does everything that I wanted out of it and more. The ability to communicate verbally with others in the game while playing is such a benefit. The clarity is precise and exactly what I was looking for.
Summary: These do what they say they will, but I find them too heavy to wear for long. I'm too used to smaller headphones and earbuds to be comfortable in something that covers my ears completely like old style DJ headphones. They also take up a lot of space when you try to put them away. The cords are plenty long enough for my small living room, but as always I'm waiting for my dog to tangle himself up in them. If these were lighter and wireless, they'd be golden.
Summary: I got this for my youngsters as I don't play video games, but they never showed the slightest interest. They are a little heavy, but seem like they would be helpful in increasing the pleasure of games.
Summary: -- This paragraph is just a little anecdote, the actual review begins after it -- I'm a pretty casual gamer, but I like to play to the best of my abilities. One of my friends uses headphones when he plays, and I wanted to try it out. I now cannot play without using headphones. However, there was one small problem... Whenever I had to use my (now old) headset, I would have to take out my headphones in order to hear my teammates or party members. Which absolutely sucked...
Summary: this is a very good quality headset the voice and sound quality is very good the padding around the ears cup is very soft and it doesnt make my ears swet or hert i can also hear everything that is going on in the game overall these are verry very good headsets at a reasonable price and once you get used to the controls on the ear cups it wont frrl so weird
Summary: I found this headset to be very comparable to the Turtle Beach X11 headset. This X40 headset is more comfortable in my opinion. Though I don't do it often, I could game for hours and not feel any pain on my ears afterwards. The quality of the microphone (which can easily move around for when not in use, according to people I have played in-game with is very clear and the sound quality comes out clean and sufficient.
Summary: This headset has average sound quality and an average fit. It might just be me, but the headset was tight and made my ears sweat after about an hour of wear. The price is cheap, but I think with more research folks can find an above average headset for a good deal.
