Summary: Take the people that give 1 star because they broke it in half with a grain of salt. They usually did something stupid to break them and want to blame it on the headset rather than themselves. These people are puny and tiny.
Pros: I own several plantronics headsets and they all have been good. Never broke a pair and some are over 6 years old. If you can find the 777 they are still a great deal. The 780 is not really much better and is 2x cost
Summary: Overall a good headset. I would buy them again, but I'm going to be looking for true 5.1/7.1 headpsets as my next purchase as I'm getting back into gaming.
Pros: As my first gaming headset, I have to say it was a pretty good purchase. I use it mostly for Skyping and the sound quality is good. Included amplifier is easy to install and really does help. Very comfortable, even after long periods of use.
Cons: Makes me sweat a little if worn for a while. For music with bass, it can get distorted if you turn the sound up too much. Really need to use the included amplifier in order to get the most out of these. Otherwise, sound can be muted.
Summary: For the price it was great! The surround sound is perfect for games like Counter Strike and Call of Duty with sitrep pro!
Pros: I've had these headphones for almost a year now and I have to say they held up. The mic comes and goes as it bleases and the wind from my fan doesnt help it. But the headset on its own delivers loud 5.1 dolby. You will literally hear the competition walking towards you so you can prefire.
Cons: About a month ago the plastic finally gave up from me splitting it to put on my head. Using tape right now to hold the left ear cup in place. But for the sale price I got it at I couldnt complain much. Mic went out 3 months after strong usage and constant in and out of holster.
Summary: Although these headphones don't really have any major problems with the design, I don't want to have to deal with Plantronics support if they do go bad. They never offered any reason to why they didn't have a Windows Vista x64 driver, and usually the only response that was offered was that the...
Pros: These headphones have a crisp sound and a solid frame. They fit comfortably over any set of ears, even if you wear glasses. Like most headphone sets, they may not be indestructible, but just don't leave them on the floor and you'll be fine. The mic boom swings down from INSIDE the earpiece, so it...
Cons: These were actually a present for a roommate of mine, whose computer runs Windows Vista x64. When I attempted to installed the included USB dongle that simulates 7.1 surround, Vista did not like it; it didn't work. Upon further inspection on the Plantronics website, I determined that the software...
Pros: I purchased this great headset a little bit ago off of Newegg. I have seen tons of others complaining about the build quality, but so far these are solid. Good bass reproduction and semi comfortable (just not for hours)
Cons: Wish this was true 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound but Pro Logic will have to do
Summary: Would give this headset a 5/5 except for the buzzing
Pros: Great headset, very comfortable, amazing bass. If anything a little bit tight, but great fit for me.
Cons: When using the sound card, I hear a lot of "buzzing" when listening to music that has a lot of lower tones, and is good with higher bass (i.e Dubstep, Drumstep). For me the tone sounds much better if I plug the headset directly in my computer. I don't know if it my computer, or the sound card, bu...
Pros: Great for gaming. Pretty good bass compared to other models that I've owned, but obviously not as good as a desktop 5.1 speaker system. I found the audio positioning to be pretty good with these. It took me a while (a month?) to get used to it, but once I did I could tell exactly where people wer...
Cons: Started breaking after 1.5 years. Slowly died and now dead at 3 years =*( . There is this volume adjuster - that thing started becoming more and more loose and now it feels like there is a piece of silicon that isn't touching what it is supposed to touch anymore and sound won't go through unless ...
Summary: great for gamers excellent sound quality however it does not cancel everything around you, as I like to watch tv and play
Pros: excellent sound quality, took awhile to get used to the feel of them, did take about 2 weeks to break them in... used to play all sorts of games from black ops to dungeon defenders, no issues with mic, happy that i can hide the mic in the headset when needed
Cons: As a gamer you constantly use your headphones and after a bit mine broke on top from taking them on and off i like these so much i duct tape them back together, only 1 egg off cuz it took a while for them to break
