Summary: I wanted a really comfortable headset when I purchased these. The reviews stating how comfortable these headsets are hooked me into buying them. Unfortunately, after spending much time trying to stretch them out, I can still only spend a few hours wearing them before I can not take the pain any longer. If your ears are not the right shape, then this headset is going to hurt. I think the sound quality is good.
Summary: Sound quality is great. I like the fact audio card/plug is compact and can be used by other headsets. I would like to have more padding around the ear though. The hard plastic inside rests against my ear causing discomfort after awhile.
Great sound great price - but so bulky and heavy on your head
4 March 2011
Summary: This is not a terrible headset but I am not accustomed to having one be heavy. The sound quality mic quality are excellent and it is very soft on the ears with the extra padding. However the headset weight wise is heavy, and very bulky takes up a lot of space on my desk etc.
Summary: This set was rated best in show at CES this year but only because Logitech wasn't showcasing the G-35's. I upgraded from a pair of Razer Carcharius and the sound quality was about the same the so called "7.1" is a big gimmicky overstatment. if your just a casual gamer or just plan on talking to friends on line then these are ok but if your looking top performance and top sound quality at about the same price (retail) then go with the Logitech G-35 gaming headset and you...
Summary: The only reason I rated this as 3 stars is because I have problems when I plug it directly into my desktop motherboard. I think it must be a power issue (so it could be the motherboards fault) because when I plug it into a powered usb hub, it works great. It also might have some issues with the microsoft gaming mouse I use but I am not sure of that yet (weird things like left click every once in a while that was not initiated by me).
Pros: Added features, Comfortable, Easy To Use, Great Sound Quality, Quality Microphone
Summary: Its all right there in the headline. This one isn't very loud and the bass is non-descript. It is comfortable and the build quality is good and its USB with no drivers neded. But its been superceded and its younger brother is just plain better in all but comfort.
Summary: If you are considering buying this headset for your xbox 360 then save yourself £30 and buy the plantronics gamecon 367. the dolby surround sound card is not compatible with the 360 so I was disappointed when this headset arrived.
Summary: These headphones ARE nice! Tremendously comfy and feel solid with strong sound which makes you believe the music/sound is coming out of your speakers as well. But don't be fooled, they are merely stereo headphones marketed as 7.1 surround. It seems I didn't do enough research. My problem is that they are actually only surround sound effect, with Dolby processing supposedly providing a 'fuller sound'.
Summary: I wanted to be sitting in my seat with my mouth dropped in awe at the amazing sound, if only.. I did a lot of research before buying these and decided to go for them based on the reviews.. For the price and the fact it comes with the dolby 5.1 surround attachment i thought these would be great for gaming. However, the 5.1 attachment when switched on just seems to make the sound ..different.
Summary: I originally bought this about about 3 months ago, after deciding I needed a decent headset. My first impression was "Wow!" the sound quality was a massive improvement over my previous headset. It's not quite surround sound, but it's still good quality sound. It's not only good for gaming, but for music as well as just talking. The problem I had with the headset (and this is a huge problem) is that the headset is brittle.
