They are OK.

Jeff B., Newegg
5 August 2011
  • Summary: It's notable that you can get entry level audiophile headphones (I dislike the word but that's what they are.) for around this price - and you can get a cheap clipon microphone - they will be far more comfortable and sound quality will be better.
  • Pros: Alright microphone and OK sound quality. They're decent for $40, the sound quality is lacking compared to headphones that are around the same price - (HD515, XB300, ATH-M30, ect.) If you don't care for audio quality and are just looking for something cheap, and quick, these will be just fine.
  • Cons: These aren't "open", open means sound can leak both ways but that's not the case - they are "barely" open. They are far more closer to closed. Not the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, they're pretty heavy compared to other ones and get tedious to wear after several hours. Material isn'...

Bad Material

Erick E., Newegg
2 August 2011
  • Summary: if u want something cheap...buy it. but dont count on it...or rely on it...too much
  • Pros: Sound quality. Mic switch on/off and volume control.
  • Cons: the cord...is so bad the material it was made with...it took few plug/unplug to break the cord...by itself. the plastic band over the head...is so weak...after some shink/enlarge of the headband it actually loses its resistense.

Great, comfortable headset. Cheap plastic design

Aleksandr V., Newegg
21 July 2011
  • Summary: Got this for $30, great price, lasted me for 6 months until the cheap plastic snapped randomly as I was putting it on. Be careful not to stretch the headset too much when putting it on - kind of weird for a headset.
  • Pros: Comfortable High Quality sound Strong thick cord Amazing microphone quality All this by just plugging it in When I get the chance I game 8+hrs a day, this headset didn't put stress on my head or ears, although there is a little squeeze. Mic quality is amazing, I used vent, raidcall, teamspeek, mu...
  • Cons: Exactly as RC said, the left part of the headset snapped in half when I was putting it on, tried piecing it together with tape but the feel wasn't the same. When you first put it on it feels extremely heavy, it took about a week of getting used to.

Nice headphones

Kelly G., Newegg
14 July 2011
  • Summary: Overall, an excellent headset for the price for casual music listening and gaming, but if you're picky about your sound you might want to spend a little more.
  • Pros: Excellent headphones for the price (got them around $20-$25 for Christmas 2010). I personally don't notice any sound issues; if you're an audiophile with a dedicated sound card and meticulously setup .flac music files, you're probably looking to spend a bit more on headphones anyways. Microphone ...
  • Cons: Fuzz and dirt tend to collect very easily and often on the headphones in a house with a cat. Cleaning is not particularly difficult, just annoying. Headphones broke about 7 months into ownership when I went to grab them and they snagged on my chair. Headphones still work, but the left side no lon...

not as described

Jason S., Newegg
11 July 2011
  • Summary: if your cheap like me and looking for a decent headset this is the one for you... not all bad.
  • Pros: have not broke yet, and decent sound. for 30$ they are good headphones + mic combo!
  • Cons: very bulky and hurts your ears after wearing them for a while... and very cheaply made, especially because it looks like the mic lights up on the advertisement... but it doesnt.

Good Sound, Bad Plastic

Joshua N., Newegg
7 July 2011
  • Summary: There must be a weak point on the side, because it just snapped cleanly one day when I went to put them on. I wasn't particularly rough with them.
  • Pros: Good Sound Quality Good Mic Quality Fold-Up Microphone
  • Cons: Broke after several months of use Until I got used to it, the head clamping effect described in other reviews was annoying.

Mitchell C., Newegg
3 July 2011
  • Summary: - I bought them at Worst buy about 2 years ago for around $60 >:[ - Plantronics sent me a new one pretty quickly when I filled out a form on their site :D
  • Pros: - For me they were extremely comfortable - Worked like new for at least a year - Has a really decent microphone, best I've ever used (not that I've used a lot of quality microphones) - sound quality was good
  • Cons: - I've had the headband of the headset break twice

Not bad

Dorothy O., Newegg
2 July 2011
  • Summary: idk what is up with the mic picking up other sounds and amplifying them over my voice. I thought it might be that the noise reduction tech was put backwards or something. Overall I still like the headset, just wish it was better
  • Pros: It's a good headset. The mic is adjustable it's pretty comfortable.
  • Cons: The mic somehow picks up my music over my voice when I am gaming. (Kinda annoying) The headset is kinda tight but I deal with it.

Great Bass!!

Alex H., Newegg
1 July 2011
  • Pros: I loved the quality of the sound, especially the lows/mids!! Overall a fantastic headset for gamers looking to spend $40-$100 on a nice headset.
  • Cons: However, this headset is not for people with a big head or big ears!!!! My ears were getting sore after about ten minutes, so frequent beaks were needed so I didn't get a headache later (-1 Egg). It's such a shame because the earpads (if bigger) felt AMAZING!!!!

Really good sound but...

jason p., Newegg
28 June 2011
  • Pros: Very comfortable, not too expensive and they sound great. Mic also seemed to work well.
  • Cons: Headset broke when i went to open them up to put them on. They broke right on the "M" of "GAMECOM" on the mic side. Never abused them, i take care of my hardware.
