Very comfortable and clear

Anonymous, Newegg
6 May 2007
  • Summary: Since the car adapters are VERY important to me, I have returned this headset and replaced it with the Plantronics 645, which offers more features (car adapters and DSP) for less money.
  • Pros: This headset offers great comfort and clarity. I have very small ears, and have no problem wearing this headset without the ear stabilizer. Everyone has heard me very clearly, even though I have a high pitched, very soft voice. The microphone may even be too good (sometimes people could hear me c...
  • Cons: Although this site displays the car adapters with this heatset, it did not come with them. (I checked Plantronics site and they do not show the car adapters with the 640e, and don't have any information on the basic 640.)

Very dissapointed

Anonymous, Newegg
5 May 2007
  • Summary: Like I said- I was very disapointed. It isn't what I expected out of a headset in the higher price range. I have read the manuals thoroughly and am positive I've used this product accordingly. I believe I will go to the hassel of returning this back to Newegg. No fault to Newegg.
  • Pros: Not many pro's other than being lightweight, small, and capable of charging from a AAA battery. Mostly, this is a fine example of NOT getting what you paid for! I can't understand how it has gotten such good reviews here (which I based my final purchase decision on...thinking how could so many pe...
  • Cons: Uncomfortable. This is NOT like the earbuds you're commonly used to. It fits akwardly inside my ear and loosely enough that it ventually falls. I must use the "optional" ear hook to prevent this. The microphone quality is poor. Whom ever I talk to complains of hearing a lot of static. Only librar...

Comfortable

Christopher G., Newegg
20 March 2007
  • Summary: Overall a comfortable, good earpiece. This is the second Plantronics earpiece I have owned and both have been good pieces. Connectivity issue is solved by resyncing the headset to the phone.
  • Pros: Comfortable design, storage case, many charging options.
  • Cons: Looses connectivity at random times during calls while connected to my Samsung SCH-u740.

Great headset

Mike S., Newegg
7 March 2007
  • Pros: Excellent sound, provided by the ear bud. Connects flawlessly. Does NOT pop out of the charger if you rotate the ear bud slightly. Everything works! Sound quality on the other end is very good, at least that is what people tell me. Doesn't matter which way the little beast is rotated, it still pi...

FIX (quick) for charger problem

Eric B., Newegg
14 February 2007
  • Summary: This charger thing isn't a big deal. Just get a rubber band and you are set. As usual, Newegg got it to me in a flash. Cudos, Newegg!
  • Pros: Ok. First let me say that this unit is well worth the money and is head and shoulders above the rest in all germane respects. The fix: (This works great!) I took a sturdy rubber band, probably three inches or so, and wrapped it lengthwise around the unit while it is in the charger. This takes onl...

QUICK FIX FOR charger PROBLEM

Eric B., Newegg
13 February 2007
  • Summary: Try the rubber band. Don't let little stuff bug you. Hah.
  • Pros: Ok. This is an awesome headset. The other reviewers are right about the charger coming out of the cradle. But all you need is a good, thick rubber band to loop around the top and bottom of the unit when it is charging and it will stay in there just fine. It's super easy to do and just takes a sec...

Treo 700p Owner

Anonymous, Newegg
5 February 2007
  • Summary: If you are a Treo owner you know how hard it is to get a quality bluetooth that will work properly with our phone. Rest assured this device is probably the one for you. I have tried several out there and nothing has even come close to the sound quality that you get with this device!
  • Pros: The main thing about bluetooth headsets is the sound, forget all else, it comes down to can I hear you can you hear me. This headset blows away others in this dept. I seriously can't believe how clear this is on my phone. Volume control makes it almost too loud. Other people say that they hear me...
  • Cons: The earpiece left alittle to be desired in that you are supposed to be able to plug your earhole with it, but in my case...not so much. I use the earhook attachment. At first I thought that I would hate this since it has no where near the comfort of the H700, but after a couple of days...LOVE IT....

The best

Anonymous, Newegg
31 January 2007
  • Summary: This unit is like all unit, it does not work well in noisy and/or windy conditions
  • Pros: At first i had problems with the sound quality. After playing around with the unit i found out the you have reduce the volume depending on the call. I wear this thing constantly in and out of the car.i will not wear it without the earlobe clip for fear of losing. The clip is very comfortable and ...
  • Cons: The distance published for how far you can be from the phone is incorrect. I find that you have to have the phone unit close to your body to maintain a connection. I usually keep the phone in my pocket or on my belt

Pretty good

Anthony B., Newegg
26 January 2007
  • Pros: The multi-attachment for charging is great. I don't seem to have the problem with the headset popping out of the cradle. Holds a good charge. I use with small ear gel and ear loop, but I don't even notice it's there.
  • Cons: Sound quality is variable, even with cell phone close by. I understand the minimalist concept in buttons, but I don't like it. It's nice to dedicated buttons; I will accidentally go into pairing mode when turning on or off.
