Not very impressed

Summary: I purchased this headset mostly to use during exercise, both for bicycling and at the gym. This is my third Bluetooth headset. I started with the Rocketfish, which worked fine for a couple of weeks, but eventually died, I think due to poor quality materials. I have had much better luck with a generic nokia headset from china. I have been using them 3 times a week or so few months with almost no problems. I hoped to wear these Plantronics under my helmet while cycling.
Pros: Great concept of a flexible cable going on the back of the neck. Compact. Good for working out. Playback/phone controls. Good weight distribution - weight rests mostly on top of the ears instead of somewhere behind the neck like with Motorola S9. This makes them good for working out. Adjustment options. Micro USB used for charging. Paired with my desktop, laptop and phone (Samsung Omnia) without problems. Great for phone conversations (good mic).
Cons: Earbud size - too big, keeps coming out. My ears ended up bleeding from constant shifting of the ear buds. Not sweat-proof as often advertised. My set ended up just turning off after 30 minutes despite having full charge. If not used during workout they last much longer. Coworker's set started acting up similarly after a couple of months when he finally tried to work out with them. Controls a bit flimsy but never quit working.
Summary: If you want these to listen to music and talk on the phone these headphones have amazing sound clarity. However if you plan on working out they may not be for you as they will more than likely stop working once a drop of sweat hits them.
Pros: Very nice sound quality, comfortable design, easy pairing.
Cons: Do not like any amount of sweat. Buttons completely stopped working within 30 minutes of cardio.
Summary: I didn't test with my Ipod, and I'm glad I didn't drop the $40 for the adapter. These are going back to newegg and I'll settle for a wired solution. Bluetooth has a long way to go before this becomes satisfactory or viable.
Pros: Form factor, light and comfortable to wear.
Cons: I was very disappointed by this product. 1) Sound quality was poor. These headphones sound marginally better than a $20 pair of Sonys. I own some $50 Altec Lansing wired buds, and they have much more depth to the sound. These sound hollow and overdriven. 2) Bluetooth connection to my computer was filled with strange pops and a low buzz. I tried more than one adapter in more than one USB port. Itunes also had to be the active window on the page to play music. 3) Tested...
Pros: Pairs flawlessly and easily with the Pre All controls work great and are pretty intuitive. Fits well and sound is pretty good. Very comfortable. Callers said I sounded okay......at least on the one phone call I received while owning them. Haven't tried them outside yet.
Cons: I used this device about two days totaling approximately 2 hours and then they died. Maybe they're not designed for athletic use. First time I used them with music only and were fine. Second time I was on the spinning bike watching a movie on the Pre. Controls wouldn't work after about 1/2 hour or so. Shortly after that, they died. Sent them back in for replacement, as I'm happy to give them another chance. I think they could be great.......if they work.
Summary: The new iPhone 3.0 software may have some bluetooth issues, but since I've only tried this one headset, I'm gonna have to try another brand to see if that's the real issue.
Pros: Newegg's shipping rocks! And they are taking these back without an issue.
Cons: Initially I thought these were gonna work out good with the iPhone 3.0 software. But now that I've actually had a chance to use them, I've found that if I take my phone even 2 feet away from the headset, it cuts out or just drops the bluetooth connection. This may be more of an issue with the iPhone software than the headset, but either way, I can't use them so I've returned them.
Summary: I bought these headphones with great expectation and a lot of hope for uninterrupted music during my workouts. And that's exactly the only area where I was disappointed. The Bluetooth connectivity is pathetic. I lost signal frequently while running on the treadmill or working on the cross-trainer. Problems were even encountered during push-ups (when my phone was hardly 2 meters away from me). To make matters worse, I wasn't able to pair it with my laptop.
Summary: drops all calls on my nexus 4. useless for call. ambient loud noises get transferred through headsets and call quality is effected thus. only good for listening music . will say to friends. no buy ..... others ..use ur judgement ...
