Not bad for the price.

Matt, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I gave it only 3 stars because I have only used the microphone on these headphones and haven't actually used them for listening. I ended up getting these to use with my HD PVR Rocket for voice overs and was pleased with the quality. It's nothing like my Rode or Shure mic, but since I needed a 3.5mm mic output, I rolled the dice on these.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Use, Quality Microphone

Great while they lasted

Robert P., Newegg
24 February 2014
  • Summary: I used these everyday... on multiple computers and phones. I am on calls, Skype, etc a lot and these worked great until they "wore" out. I was careful when packing them away, and I know this was going to happen sooner or later... I was hoping for at least six months.
  • Pros: Great sound quality and microphone. Really awesome
  • Cons: Durability... lasted about 4 months before the cord from the headset started to fail.

Decent enough headset

Dina T., Newegg
20 November 2013
  • Summary: I've had a number of these - they don't tend to last all that long. I find myself having to buy a new one every year or so. At this point I'm going to be switching brands when my current one dies.
  • Pros: Good audio output quality Decent mic sound quality
  • Cons: Not exactly long-term reliable Cord could be a tiny bit longer Mic transmits low volume

User Review

Dustin H., Newegg

  • Summary: Noticed that they were uncomfortable a few minutes into my gaming session. They're okay at first but don't wear them for prolonged periods of time if you can help it. If you can, buy a more expensive headset. It doesn't have to be a $250+ headset to be comfortable.
  • Pros: They're very affordable. The sound quality is pretty good and the mic works well. Great for listening to music or for Skype calls.
  • Cons: They press down on my ears and hurt after wearing them for a while. The padding doesn't do very much to help this. Not for people with bigger heads. The padding really just isn't that comfortable at all.

Decent Headset for Cheap

Isaac H., Newegg
20 May 2013
  • Summary: You get what you pay for. If this were any more than $20, it would get a 2 or 1 egg from me. If I were you, I would save up and buy a nicer one.
  • Pros: Very cheap for a headset. Functions properly and can take a beating.
  • Cons: Subpar sound quality and mic quality. Not the most comfortable on-ear design. Can't wear for more than one hour.

Headset

St P., Newegg
27 March 2013
  • Pros: This is an ok headset, volume control and mute button with a switch. Sounded ok
  • Cons: Didn't last me as long as I expected it too be, I ended up losing audio in one ear after a couple months of purchase.

You get what you pay for: Price is appropriate.

  • Summary: Ear coverage is so-so and they kind of compress my head in an uncomfortable way. It works fine despite the ergonomics issues, though. I'm happy enough with it. It's good for Skype and Steam.

Meh Headset for a Meh Price

Shane H., Newegg
1 March 2013
  • Summary: You get what you pay for so in that respects this is a perfectly average headset for the price. They feel cheap, their performance is cheap and they cost cheap so really there should be no surprises if you buy them. Myself personally mildly regret being as cheap as this set. Next time I'll save up and buy a nicer set.
  • Pros: Surprising bass for a cheap headset. The volume and mic mute controller has indented sides where the controls are so it's difficult to accidentally adjust the volume or mute your mike while playing.
  • Cons: Just about everything else. The earcans are an ugly boxy shape and rather uncomfortable. The mic is oh-so-ho-hum barely average and flips down like a robot arm. The plastic is cheap and allows the cans to torque apart so they are uneven. The sound leaks so you'll disturb anyone else in the room with you with your music/games. Also the treble is pretty bad, apparently counteracting the OK bass.

Meh, You get what you pay for

Chase S., Newegg
17 February 2013
  • Summary: For the first month these worked like they should. Unfortunately, the mic was the first to go. Then, 2 weeks later, the left speaker. Out of curiosity I kept using them occasionally to see when the right speaker would go. It took about another month before it blew out too.
  • Pros: Mic was pretty okay Speaker quality was good for the price
  • Cons: Wasn't too comfortable for me Broke within a couple months

I won't by this cheap headset ever again.

tuxrox1, Ebay
4 February 2013
  • Summary: I tried the speakers on the headset and they worked great. And I left my feedback positive. But one night I went into A voice server and went to use the mic and no signal at all. So only half the Headset works.
