Excerpt: I gave it only 3 stars because I have only used the microphone on these headphones and haven't actually used them for listening. I ended up getting these to use with my HD PVR Rocket for voice overs and was pleased with the quality. It's nothing like my Rode or Shure mic, but since I needed a 3.5mm mic output, I rolled the dice on these.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Use, Quality Microphone
Summary: I used these everyday... on multiple computers and phones. I am on calls, Skype, etc a lot and these worked great until they "wore" out. I was careful when packing them away, and I know this was going to happen sooner or later... I was hoping for at least six months.
Pros: Great sound quality and microphone. Really awesome
Cons: Durability... lasted about 4 months before the cord from the headset started to fail.
Summary: I've had a number of these - they don't tend to last all that long. I find myself having to buy a new one every year or so. At this point I'm going to be switching brands when my current one dies.
Pros: Good audio output quality Decent mic sound quality
Cons: Not exactly long-term reliable Cord could be a tiny bit longer Mic transmits low volume
Summary: Noticed that they were uncomfortable a few minutes into my gaming session. They're okay at first but don't wear them for prolonged periods of time if you can help it. If you can, buy a more expensive headset. It doesn't have to be a $250+ headset to be comfortable.
Pros: They're very affordable. The sound quality is pretty good and the mic works well. Great for listening to music or for Skype calls.
Cons: They press down on my ears and hurt after wearing them for a while. The padding doesn't do very much to help this. Not for people with bigger heads. The padding really just isn't that comfortable at all.
Summary: You get what you pay for so in that respects this is a perfectly average headset for the price. They feel cheap, their performance is cheap and they cost cheap so really there should be no surprises if you buy them. Myself personally mildly regret being as cheap as this set. Next time I'll save up and buy a nicer set.
Pros: Surprising bass for a cheap headset. The volume and mic mute controller has indented sides where the controls are so it's difficult to accidentally adjust the volume or mute your mike while playing.
Cons: Just about everything else. The earcans are an ugly boxy shape and rather uncomfortable. The mic is oh-so-ho-hum barely average and flips down like a robot arm. The plastic is cheap and allows the cans to torque apart so they are uneven. The sound leaks so you'll disturb anyone else in the room with you with your music/games. Also the treble is pretty bad, apparently counteracting the OK bass.
Summary: For the first month these worked like they should. Unfortunately, the mic was the first to go. Then, 2 weeks later, the left speaker. Out of curiosity I kept using them occasionally to see when the right speaker would go. It took about another month before it blew out too.
Pros: Mic was pretty okay Speaker quality was good for the price
Cons: Wasn't too comfortable for me Broke within a couple months
Summary: I tried the speakers on the headset and they worked great. And I left my feedback positive. But one night I went into A voice server and went to use the mic and no signal at all. So only half the Headset works.
