Can't bet them

Anonymous, Newegg
11 March 2008
  • Pros: Probably as fine a headset you as you can get for the price. Comfortable, well built, excellent sound and mic, and the extra long cord and controls are a big plus. A friend of mine gave me this set when he upgraded(?) He is a big gamer, I use them for just about everything else with no problems a...

User Review

Britton B., Newegg
3 February 2008
  • Summary: Giving it a four star rating only because I was disappointed in the comfort level.
  • Pros: This headset has superb voice quality for the price. The audio connection cable is long, which I considered a big plus, as I like to be able to move around my desk a bit. I've yet to be disappointed by a Plantronics headset's earphone and mic quality.
  • Cons: Not quite as comfortable for long periods as I was hoping, a little too much pressure. The boom mic is quite long, longer than it looked in the picture. This only bothers me because I don't like seeing the boom in front of my face.

Great for the price

Justin F., Newegg

  • Summary: For the price, you are getting some really great headphones. Even though they dont last long, I keep buying them.
  • Pros: Good speaker and mic quality for the price. Volume conrol and an extra long cord are especially nice. Very comfortable too.
  • Cons: Can't take a lot of punishment. The cord will wear out where it meets the jack after about 6 months of typical gamer use. I've gone through 4 of these.

Phil's Review

Phillip I., Newegg
27 October 2007
  • Summary: Overall, I'd recommend it, but I'd more highly recommend shelling out the extra 5 bucks and getting the Audio .350 model or the GAMECOM 1, both which have padded ears.
  • Pros: Very good mic quality, good earphone quality
  • Cons: Uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour at a time, will irritate your ears and the side of your head

Great headsets!

Anonymous, Newegg
13 October 2007
  • Summary: I use this headset for gaming, music, and the mic. for ventrillo. Some people said that the mic. sucks, people say that my mic. is great. Who knows, maybe their sound card sucks? Mine worked the first time I got it from newegg.
  • Pros: The sound and mic. are great. These are comfortable for hours of use (sometimes). The headset itself looks really cool. You can adjust the sound or mute the mic. on the wire.
  • Cons: If you turn up the volume everyone near you can hear what's coming out of your headphones. Sometimes this headsets does hurt a little at times but nothing really big.

Perfection

Anonymous, Newegg
11 September 2007
  • Summary: I got these to replace my last Plantronics set that finally was getting worn out after 2 years of constant use and abuse. Like my last set that are behind the head. The difference is that these are even more comfortable, with a better fit.
  • Pros: Even better then my last set, great sound, very comfortable, great quality, so nice. Another great product by Plantronics.
  • Cons: None

User Review

Anthony M., Newegg
25 July 2007
  • Summary: I don't think i'll be buying this particular model again, even with the price.
  • Pros: its a decent-ish headset for the price. That's about it in terms of good points for this product.
  • Cons: Second pair of this particular type of headset I've purchased. Granted, not through Newegg, unfortunately. Personally, i find the rubber ear-comfort-pieces rather annoying. They were poorly glued on both sets i purchased, often falling off and getting lost in my desk area. The headsets aren't too...

Not good

Anonymous, Newegg
9 April 2007
  • Summary: Looks good and the should is clear and thats it
  • Pros: The sound is awesome and that is all it has going for it.
  • Cons: The humming i think is cause by bad sheilding. I don't hear it but everyone i talk to does. They are a little heavy and tight, not for people with big heads

Perfect Replacement from Plantronics Audio 70

Anonymous, Newegg
11 January 2007
  • Summary: Plantronic fans should be very happy with this set and I recommend them highly.
  • Pros: I have bought three pairs of Plantronics Audio 70 behind the head headsets. I have always been highly impressed with Plantronics bass reproduction in such a thinline headset. When I saw they no longer made the Audio 70 series I was a little concerned, and decided I would try the closest model and...
  • Cons: It is a little uncomfortable on the ears for about the first week or two (wearing them 8 hrs/5 day week). At first I was a little concerned, but after about 10 days the little rubber part that rest on the ears actually forms to your ear and provides a great fit. It is quite a bit of discomfort th...

Im happy with it

Michael D., Newegg
31 December 2006
  • Summary: the only reason why Im unhappy with this product (other than the reason above) is that I find that I tend to pack around the headset so it doesnt get broken or crushed in transport. But other than that, I Would reccomend this to any of my friends, family, or co-workers.
  • Pros: VERY VERY COMFORTABLE. Nice behind the head design, takes the stress of of the top of the crown of the users head. I like how it looks and the sound quality, all of my friends and I use plantronics and We all love our products.
  • Cons: Im currently placing a repair order because the microphone plug as gotten flakey. This is entirely my fault because as a user, I have a tendancy to pull things out by the wire, instead of by the plug, which is what the user should do. But they said that they would send me a new one, no charge. I ...
