Excerpt: this headset is one of the best for the money I have had in a long timethat said in years I used a lot of headset but this one will give you every thing you need to talk on the net to your friend or to any body
Summary: I picked up one of these: "StarTech.com Headset adapter for headsets with separate headphone / microphone plugs - 3.5mm 4 position to 2x 3 position 3.5mm M/F " - to adapt from this headset to a 3.5mm combo mic/headphone jack on my Win7 ThinkPad laptop.
Pros: Sound quality from the headphones is excellent. Even for listening for stereo music. Mic yields good sound quality too. Great deal for the price.
Cons: The headphones provide dual 3mm mic/headphone plugs, which is a problem for smartphones or new laptops, which provide a single combo mic/headphone jack. The phones are rather tight on my head ... this could be a real problem for someone with a big head.
Summary: I bought this headset primarily for the microphone. I use Skype and Google Voice a lot and this was a good solution when my last headset microphone died. According to the people I'm speaking to, my voice is clear, so I'm happy.
Pros: Comfortable, at least for an hour-long conversation. Microphone works. Noise canceling works.
Excerpt: I purchased a phone system thru Staples that would utilize a jack and headset. This is what I set out to buy. I got distracted and bought a headset with two jacks, not one. Now I am out of luck and have to travel another 30 miles to a Staple store to try again to find something.None the less, I...
Excerpt: These headphones have a nice feel. The adjust well and it is easy to attach with the long cord to your PC. The sound is really clear and full. The spectrum is not squeaky or too bass. The mute button is easy to find and hit. The high low tone switch really helps to control how others sound.
Excerpt: I liked this model as it was inexpensive and had a mic that was nice and sensitive. The click stops on the over the head bridge was loose, but I adjusted the clicking mechanism on it and got it to work fairly well.
Summary: For the price, untouchable by anything else.
Pros: Affordable, practical, Comfortable (after some use). I use this unit at work and at home. I think it is the perfect Skype headset/boom combo. I make several calls a day from each location, and listen to YouTubes on it at home. I have repurchased this item.
Cons: One unit the wires going to the boom mike broke, but that was after 18 months of raising and lowering the boom mike.
Excerpt: These work for the application I use them for which is gaming. They are not noise cancelling so you can still hear noise in the room like a TV. Mic works well and the controls on the cord are a nice touch. They are comfortable for a short period of time even while wearing glasses.
