Not impressed

Jamin M., Newegg
15 July 2012
  • Summary: Got it on what was apparently clearance sale, and I'm glad I didn't pay a dollar more. I hardly ever use them thanks to the aforementioned noise.
  • Pros: Relatively comfortable, work to some extent.
  • Cons: Active noise canceling adds a hissing noise, not static really, but a very noticeable and ruinous noise for someone who wants to hear nothing but music.

Poor Wiring

Anonymous, Newegg
30 December 2011
  • Summary: For the MSRP price of these the quality should be higher. Doesn't take much to improve manufacturing process to ensure better product.
  • Pros: Was on sale.
  • Cons: Didn't work right. Left speaker crackles. Found a kinked wire close to the left speaker. Called Pioneer customer support for warranty service and they were closed for the holidays. wiring is super cheap.

High frequency noise

Vitali P., Newegg
30 November 2011
  • Pros: Half price shell shocker deal att newegg. Comfortable. Good sound quality when noise cancellation is off.
  • Cons: Turning noise cancellation adds high frequency noise. It was supposed to be noise cancellation, not noise addition.

These earphones suck - seriously!

Biggie Smalls "TEB", Amazon
1 June 2012
  • Summary: These are TERRIBLE earphones! When the noise-cancelling operation is switched on there is a (loud!) audible hiss! How the heck is that "noise cancelling"?? Also, the quality of the sound is cheap and tinny.

Not as advertised - poor quality

Debbie, Amazon
31 May 2011
  • Summary: In brief: I really don't understand all the other 5 star recommendations. These earphones are very uncomfortable and DO NOT cancel ambient sounds. A number of friends have tried them and all report the same poor quality.

My least favourite headphones

David, Amazon
31 May 2011
  • Summary: Note to self - read the specs carefully before buying. The noise cancelling on these phones is designed to filter out the lower frequencies of sound. Not the higher. So that means if I use them in the office, I can still hear all the people talking over my music.
