Good headphones

lglglg, Amazon

  • Summary: I like these headphones. I think the sound is good. I find it a little bassier than the sienhiesser 202's but not too bassey. I have had them a while now and the only problem I have is the auto adjustment strap has become brittle and is starting to crack. The strap also turns round on the rubber and you have to turn it back to make the rubber flat again.

Sound Not The Best

Ice-Man, Amazon
19 May 2013
  • Summary: These are comfortable and do not have any sound leakage. However as with the previous reviewer i found that the sound was a little muffled. It seems i could hear or sense alot of bass but other aspects of the sound were compromised.

Worth every penny

  • Excerpt: The sound quality is everything you would expect from Pioneer and for the price they are excellent value. Bass is good, contrary to the other review and they are extremely comfortable to wear. My son has used both Philips and Panasonic and he has now settled with this Pioneer set. In fact, there are now three sets in our household so we can all hear great sounds with no nagging from the wife!
  • Pros: Exellent sound, and very comfortable
  • Cons: not as sturdy as they look but nothing a little glue doesn't solve .

  • Summary: I don't like the sound from these at all. They are very muddy sounding, as if listening to music coming from another room, and have very poor upper frequency response which is overwhelmed by the heavy lower frequencies. This is OK if you want just to listen to the bass end of the audio spectrum but I prefer a more balanced and involving sound. Not recommended.

Poor headphones

  • Excerpt: I expected more from a renowned company like Pioneer, but these headphones are not very good . The sound is not what I expected. The sound is too weak even at high volume and althugh they say it has extrabass one can hardly feel it. Panasonic has a much better extrabass. I bought them as a replacement for Panasonic Dj300. I like Panasonic a lot but they are uncomfortable to wear for a long time.
  • Pros: comfortable ear coushions
  • Cons: poor sound quality,
