Excerpt: Great bass, comfy, the headphones exude style and quality and they sound great off an ipod or a dedicated setup. Sound is muddy compared to higher end audiophile grade headphones but these sound quite nice for urban music. They are my fav portable cans .
Pros: Bass, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Professional Features, Versatile
Excerpt: These Heaphones suprised me, as in quality and the sound. the sound is really good it has good bass and the highs and mids are right where they should be since I am a Dj. They are great for listening to your personal music as well.
Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Good price value
Excerpt: I've DJed for many, many years and needed some new headphones for my mobile system and these work pretty good. Very stylish and light. Only negative is they don't fold up like my old Sony Studio Monitors that I've used for years and they don't have a carrying case.
Summary: GREAT BASS ON A BUDGET
Pioneer HDJ-500 review
(NOTE: this is a review of the HDJ-500, not the HDJ-500K. The difference is that the K model has a smartphone compatible 1 m cable to receive calls).
Pros: Plenty of tight punchy bass, great looks, detachable cables, very affordable, comfortable, right cup swivels, wide soundstage.
Cons: Plasticky and squeaky, recessed and grainy mids, loose cable lock, not collapsible.
Summary: After having these DJ headphones for about a month, I can see I'm fairly impressed despite the fragile appearance and the frequency response graph. UnEQ'd, mids and trebles will be slightly veiled(take it with a grain of salt) due to the bassy sound signature of these headphones; they are for DJ's...
Pros: Durability, looks, bass response
Cons: Muffled mids and highs(depends on eq), white one will stain.
Excerpt: I use it as a amateur deejay for house party and private event. i have to say that it can bring all sounds you really need and a wow effect from your friends - they all like my gig and the headphone!!
Excerpt: These headphones are great! The look, the feel, they are definitely the best bang for the buck. I also own technics, which for me feel very heavy, but perform well and are built like tanks. These feel very solid and have the perfect DJ pivot on the right cuff making them very comfortable to wear.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Stylish
Excerpt: The Pioneer DJ HDJ 500 K headphones are a pair of closed back DJ headphones that have a 40 mm magnet driver and removable cable. These headphones are very affordable and that is probably the only reason I chose to give them a shot.
