Summary: What a buy, I work at a best buy in Brooklyn, NY and am a serious listener to house/dance music. Only after having the Solo HD beats by dre for a few months it started to fall apart,. They weren't bad headphones, but these just blow them out the water. The sounds are crisp and don't sound shrilly at all. The bass compliments the sounds and doesn't overpower it or become muddy.
Pros: Highs to lows and everything in between, amazing build quality
Cons: this is not a bass heavy headset, the bass compliments the sound, it shouldn't over power it
Summary: One thing that I can add to the discussion is that they are mind-blowingly efficient and that's what I needed to use these with my i-devices. I know they have dj panache and you can plug them into a mixer and rock a club but they also have the most efficient Impedance number I've ever seen and, because of that, sound amazing powered by even the weakest of i-devices.
Cons: Pads eventually make your ears sore but it takes longer than the other brands I've tried
Summary: Awesome, awesome, awesome headphones. Great sound, barely leaked, very comfy. But the 2.5mm input threw me way off. Please, can someone tell me why a 2.5mm input jack would be on these headphones. 3.5mm is standard for ipods, etc. Dubya Tee Eff. Go out and get these. They are much more crisp, clearer, more bass-heavy than Beats By Dre. Do yourself a solid & get these. Check out my review @http://youtu.be/-H5fVbP8d4E or Pioneer HDJ-1500 Review & Leak Test.
Summary: Overall: Bought them the night of the show I was playing (Nov. 30,) used them for an hour and did not want to put them down. They have AMAZING sound quality for a locale/touring DJ, or at home Producer. You can wear them all day if youd like. (: I hope anyone else that has these knows whats up!
Pros: Quality, Perfect Sound, Comfort and Great price.
Cons: Custom case would be great, different sized ear-cups as well.
Summary: My old and still working headphones (Sony MDR-XB500) for $79 at Best Buy were fantastic, but I needed an upgrade for my pending hobby (DJing) These headphones fit great on the head, as the the Sony made you look like Princess Leia from Star Wars, but were very good for the price. These is my first for the super-sound giant, Pioneer. I was a little hesitant as they were a little over my budget.
Pros: Comfort on the Head, bungie cord for when its going to your ipod in your pocket, solid bass and treble response
Cons: somewhat plastic metal construction, but still very solid
Summary: I got these at my best buy for $70 on clearance. I am not sure why because these blow everything on the market even now and they have been out at least 2 years. I had a pair of Numarks and a set of really nice senheizers before I bought these and these blow them away. I compared them to beats and monster audio when I was at the store and they I still think these are the best ones even at the current price.
