Summary: Overall quite good, but made a big change from my FutureSonics which finally wore out. You definitely get the clarity of an armature set of IEMs and a bit of the harshness compared to dynamic driver types. These are the most comfortable pair of buds or IEMs I've owned. I also get a perfect seal with the silicone tips whereas with my Shures and FutureSonics I always had to use the foam ones.
Summary: As a background: I'm a 31 year old fella, who likes rock music, house music, mainly these are what I listen to. I do however like other types, some classic etc.. I wanted a set of in ear IEMs with a decent base sound. Instead, I got these, the base is very lacking, but the rest of the sound is very pure I can't complain about them at all, they sound amazing and although there is a very limited amount of base with them, they're very nice to listen with.
Summary: I bought the Phonak Audeo PFE 122 to replace my Ultimate Ears Superfi 4 after the cable split at the earphone end. Having picked up the Superfi 4s at a bargain price (£17.99) I was concerned that I would have to spend considerably more to get an improvement in sound and comfort. The Phonak Audeo PFE 122s were on offer elsewhere so I read a couple of reviews and took the plunge.
Summary: These earphones have excellent sound and are very light and comfortable especially if you use the foam tips. However, I found all the other tips extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the foam tips only lasted three months and I was unable to obtain replacements from any UK supplier. I eventually contacted Comply ([...]) in the USA and managed to obtain the medium size Comply T130 foam tips direct from them.
