Summary: Got these as a present from my wife over 2 years ago and STILL going strong. Sound is as good as ever and they are very robust. Replaced 2 sets of Shures, both of which lasted less than 2 years.
Summary: When I bought these, I thought they were great even with the very expensive price. However, after just over a year of light to medium usage, the left speaker started to buzz and I couldn't fix it by changing the filters or even trying it without filters. Others have reported similar problems, so please be aware at this price level.
Summary: I've always been a slight headphone-whore, changing brand whenever I broke/lost a pair, working my way through most of the Ultimate Ears and Shure, brands amongst many others. These are the only pair I've bought twice. They have a really great 'neutral' sound - which sounds like faint-praise, but means music just sounds like it's supposed to.
Summary: Best earphones ever in my collection! Superb sound, easy handling, and superb comfort. I find myself listening to some lectures for hours and hours, even more than 3 or 4. At the end I don't have any pain in my ears, and I don't feel them all through the sessions. They just fit in and do their job. Priceless.
Summary: Overall quite good, but made a big change from my FutureSonics which finally wore out. You definitely get the clarity of an armature set of IEMs and a bit of the harshness compared to dynamic driver types. These are the most comfortable pair of buds or IEMs I've owned. I also get a perfect seal with the silicone tips whereas with my Shures and FutureSonics I always had to use the foam ones.
Summary: Delivery and packaging was fine. Have used these now for a while and they seem to get better the more I use them. Use them in the gym, office, travelling and in the house. Very comfortable to wear. Quality is outstanding. Bass is lovely, the mids and highs are all there... fantastic sound... very much a 5 star product.
Summary: Usually I end up taking any kind of headset off after a short while just because they are uncomfortable. These stay on for my whole session down at the gym. Soundwise they are great although they do need the bass filter to make the music have any life, even though I would say I am not a fan of bass orientated music. Once you have the correct filter in there is plenty of detail and overall these are the best phones I have bought and I am really enjoying them.
Summary: I returned a set of Shure SE215s (great sound, but design fault with detachable cable causing cut-outs) for these. I am now fed up with expensive earbuds and would recommend going cheap. Here's the good and bad as I see it after a few months owning these Phonaks: Good - Decent construction - Sound quite good when working properly - Lightweight - Phone calls and cable remote (track skip etc) work well Bad - Sound filters are a silly gimmick.
Summary: As a background: I'm a 31 year old fella, who likes rock music, house music, mainly these are what I listen to. I do however like other types, some classic etc.. I wanted a set of in ear IEMs with a decent base sound. Instead, I got these, the base is very lacking, but the rest of the sound is very pure I can't complain about them at all, they sound amazing and although there is a very limited amount of base with them, they're very nice to listen with.
Summary: I've always had problems getting earphones to stay in my ears... until now! After reading the 5 star review of the Phonak Audeo PFE 012 in Stuff magazine I did some more research and ended up buying the higher end PFE 122. The Phonak PFE 122's sound is very clear, with warm and they have well defined bass response (not over-cooked like Bose in-ears).
