Excerpt: I was watching a movie in my laptop in the dining area when my brother descended in the den and started watching the news in the television. The noise was distracting even though the den was at the end of the house. So I went to their computer area and picked-up their Philips SHP2000, plugged it into my laptop and continued watching the movie. I fell in love with this Philips headphone and I am getting one myself.
Summary: The Philips Corded Headphone Model No: SHP2000 provides very comfy fit with adjustable headband which sounds very very low in mobile phones, laptops, if u r a sound listener then pls don`t buy this i will give overall rating as average
Excerpt: In short: Awful sound, no bass, no treble, nice cable, not worth even a fiver. Long winded version: Where to start.. I bought these to fill out an order because I had spare the exact amount these cost. That's it. Didn't look at the specs, just saw a cheap set of philips cans, thought they would be ok for movies or out and about listening. Nope. Stay far away from these. They sound awful, really bad.
Pros: Extremely comfortable, Light, Easy to drive, Low cost, Thick cable, 6.3 adapter, Well built
Summary: I got a pair of these a while ago, and theyve got great sound, very comfortable. The bass is very good. Only problem is that the jack connector is AWFUL - mine corroded and fell of in about a week. Since then, Ive had to solder two new connectors on. Unfortunately, its for this reason that I cant really recommend them. Unless you like soldering.
Excerpt: These are really annoying, they are great for bass and also for strings, but not bass and strings at the same time. I listened to some trance music in these and every time a solid pounding bass beat was made, the strings went really quiet because it could not cope with both at the same time. For comfort they are not bad, their foam sorround is pretty soft and after wearing them for an hour they still remain comfortable, but anything past about 2 hours is not so great.
Excerpt: Since we have our computer in the living room where we naturally spend a lot of time and also watch the television speakers on the computer were not an option (well at least most of the time). We have had many old headphones in use (from disc-man, MP3 player etc.) but they were all of low quality and failed pretty quickly. It was time to buy proper (cheap) headphones. These were at a fair price and they looked good.
