Summary: i never usually write reviews, but when i do, its usually with underrated earphones/headphones, because i think they do deserve some justice.
just a background, i owned headphones/earphones like brainwavz, sennheisers, superluxes, beyerdynamics, etc. Some of them on come and go fashion, buy and sell. im no heavy audiophile, but i love listening to music in all aspects of genre.
i bought it because it was on sale.
Pros: accurate bass, soundstage, depth, versatile headphones, fun to hear
Cons: in line volume control useless, not exactly neutral
Summary: Build quality.
The earcup padding is exquisite with it's soft, smooth faux leather, as well as the beautifully padded headband. The model I bought for £49 off Amazon was the all black one without the volume control as I had demoed the silver one with the volume control and it had a channel imbalance, so I thought that the all black version would be a safe bet.
Summary: *Before reading, please know that I'm very new to Head-Fi and I've never written a serious review before. Thanks!
I bought these headphones after months of on and off research and consideration. I wanted a really high quality headphone that my iPhone and desktop computer could drive without the bass-heaviness of Beats by Dre (I listen to mostly rock of all types) and I didn't want to spend more than $175.
Summary: Great sound isolation and exclusion of noise. One must thus be extra watchful for traffic or any approaching menace when one is enjoying the great sound out doors. I took a 6 km lunch walk today and enjoyed the beautiful music of The Walflowers, John Mayer, Jackson Brown, Pretenders and a duet between Neil Diamond and Babara Steisand with this uptown Philips. I am convinced these headphones are great with the pop and rock genre in great outdoors.
Pros: Audio quality, looks, and great for outdoors. Don't need an amplifier
Cons: Sliding volume control on the cable. Easy to over adjust and blast your ears. Prefer pinch type of control.
Summary: Really comfy. Love the style unlike so many over ear headphones. Wear them when out, and do not look out of place. Mic is brilliant. Only thing is I would love them in a bit of colour. But for £39 from £90 I am over the moon.
Summary: Fabulous! This is my third set of Philips headphones, and I've worn each of them until they've completely fallen apart (about 3 years). Over that time, the sound has improved in this price category - and in this latest headset, they finally seem to have got the balance of the bass right.
Summary: I managed to pick up these headphones for only £44 pounds on sale, and they are worth every penny. Pros: - The build quality is outstanding. - Great quality. Clear and the treble is amazing, plus the bass isn't to bad either. - Almost no sound is leaked, you can listen to the highest volume and not hear any out side noise, nor with other people hear the music. - Probaly the most comfortable headphone I have ever worn.
