Despite the model name, Philips isn't marketing its SHE9850 In-Ear Headphones to women only. These comfortable $99.99 earphones certainly aren't bass-heavy, but they offer a reasonable amount of low-end presence. There's a bit of brightness missing from the high-frequency response, but overall these 'phones deliver solid performance for the price. If you have 100 bucks to spend on a pair of earphones, the SHE9850 set is definitely worth considering. Read more

I bought in ear headphones so I wouldn't disturb other people with my music. People commented that they could hear my music when I was walking down the street. They... Read more

I bought these after deciding that I wanted good quality sound, but didn't want to spend the money on Westone UM2's or Shure SE530's. I played some familiar music once I had them, and was immediately disappointed. It sounds as if someone has deliberately clipped all the bass and treble frequencies out of the piece, leaving only a mid-range sound. While it's midrange frequencies do sound very good, there is a substantially reduced soundstage - compared to a pair of 40... Read more
