User Review

  • Summary: This IEM is definitely the best bang for the buck! Basshead person should purchase it without a doubt. Even it's higher brother, Philips SHE9800 didn't able to match the sound quality of this IEM! :D   It produced very deep punching bass and high definition clarity on mid and treble. It feels like you have your own built in sub-woofer inside this IEM! Comfort to use in a long run, but not designed to use when sleeping though.
  • Pros: Excellence deep punching bass (feels like there's built in sub-woofer) with high definition clarity on mid and treble. Comfort to use in a long run.
  • Cons: The right monitor somehow died after one year of usage. Broke in two parts as the glue in its case wore off in time.

No Bass, Horrible fit.

  • Summary: Not a great design, constantly falling out of my ears after trying the different sizes of earbud. Almost no Bass in the headphones leaving a quiet sound with no real detail.

Excellent

  • Summary: Have the earlier model for a few years now and is just excellent. Back then it was recommended to me in a PC World store by a shop assistant. The new model, purchased with this order is even better than the old one. Also have other Phillips headphones bought from Amazon, which are made specifically for the awful Android systems, which just as the Android system I find wanting and with multiple problems being used on Android (and PC).

Very good quality for the price.

  • Summary: Decided to try these as a TV program compared them to far more expensive headphones, and these came out on top. It took a while for the headphones to wear themselves in but now I am very happy with the sound they produce. I also find them very comfortable to wear. For the money I think they are excellent value.

Great in-ears. Try em or loose out

A Winterbottom "Bumbly", Amazon

  • Summary: I bought these earphones as a replacement for a set of Sennheiser PX100 on ears that gave up on me. I loved my old headphones which had great bass extension and feared that for the money these Philips were being sold at would not compare. But to my surprise and relief I soon discovered what an absolute bargain these little in -ears are! To start with they are comfortable and have a long lead extension provided. They are discreet (obviously) and store away quite easily.

Great product.

  • Summary: Amazing sound. The earpieces go deep enough in the ear to block the external sound and produce amazing deep bass. Used them with Sony MP3 player. True bass setting on the player's equalizer set to be listened to not more then medium settings as powerful bass vibrations just made you feel the base pump. Also was pleased that cable is short and has an extension if needed as I usually wear my MP3 player on a strap around my neck.

Bright or Just Tinny?

Scotty, Amazon
7 September 2013
  • Summary: Given the reviews here I was expecting great things, so I have knocked a star off my initial rating because I find these really lacking in bass and warmth. Some might describe the sound as bright, I'd say they sound tinny, maybe they are aimed at trebly pop music, rather than rock music with greater depth of sound. These were intended to replace my current Philips in ear headphones, but the old ones may stay my favourites for a bit longer.....
