Summary: Great bass. But at first use, I mistakenly thought it was tinny with very little bass. With this type of narrow tube driver, you absolutely must twist and screw it far as possible, very firmly, into the ear passage. Then and only then you'll enjoy powerful bass, great total frequency response, and isolation from outside noise. As I did, you may need to switch to the included smallest rubber earpieces to get this tight in-ear passage fit.
Pros: Clear highs, Comfortable, Good isolation, Robust clear bass
Summary: I wanted a in-ear headphone for use with my iPhone. After trying a few headphones. I got this a few weeks back.It is a great snug fit in the ear with a few size options. The sound quality is great for the value. The cable winder is useful but a little clumsy. Can't complain though.
Excerpt: "...my Diddy Beats, but the Philips SH9950's pack enough punch for less than a quarter of the price. I can be quite fussy when it comes to earphones as the fitting is a huge part of the experience. The biggest consideration though is the sound quality. When I am out and about I don't mind as much about quality, but the SHE9550's offer a well-balanced sound, giving both a rich treble and deep bass. I am not suggesting they are up to the standard ...
Pros: Packing good punch, overall sound is decent, affordable .
Cons: Dull and cheap looking, not quite upto the high - end sound quality .
Summary: Although I have a main pair of in-ear headphones that were pretty expensive I do like to have a cheaper pair for when I am on the move. I don't expect the sound quality to be up to the standard of my Diddy Beats, but the Philips SH9950's pack enough punch for less than a quarter of the price. I can be quite fussy when it comes to earphones as the fitting is a huge part of the experience. The biggest consideration though is the sound quality.
Pros: Packing good punch, overall sound is decent, affordable.
Cons: Dull and cheap looking, not quite upto the high-end sound quality.
Summary: I have an Apple iPod but have never like the headphone that came with it. I'm quite fussy about headphones and have gone through a few sets recently as I've been unhappy with their performance or comfort. But I love these and would say they are the best I have tried so far, I prefer them to Apple headphones that come with iPods. The headphones are well built and are of a high quality.
Summary: Ok, I'm really not the techie in the family, but have to take the opportunity to rave about these great little headphones. My boyfriend is into Sennheiser etc and is always up to date with the latest products out in the marketplace, I would normally take advise from him before buying anything vaguely technical, but was working away from home and spotted these in the window of a shop . . . . . . they really caught my eye and are a very attractive pair of headphones.
