  • Summary: This is my first attempt at a review, so if you make it to the bottom: Heres to you!     Philips latest headphone line is better summed up in one word: Awesome. Sleek industrial design, modern indeed, yet classic and timeless. I thought of Grado (SR60-SR125), only not sort of cheap-looking.
  • Pros: Balanced sound, sleek design.
  • Cons: A bit too tight for extended listening.

Great sound and design for the price.

  • Summary: My Favorite Headphones under $200.
  • Pros: The M1s sound amazing with lots of different genres of music. They also look great and well designed for everyday use. For this price I don't think you can get much better sound quality despite what the Cnet review says. Easy buy for me.
  • Cons: They Don't fold completely. Could have some more bass.

  • Summary: The Philips M1 has the most treble rolloff of any headphone I've owned. Compared to the Shure 1840 which isn't bright, the M1 is down about 12 db at 7 khz and 16 db at 10 khz. The construction or build is comparable to an average $100 headphone, and this sound and build quality are very different...

  • Summary: Did a lot of research before deciding on these phones and was hoping the phones would be just what I needed ... how wrong could I be !! Firstly, the headphones are dark blue, not black as they look in the photos - they are however VERY nicely made.

  • Summary: Great pair of headphones, seem good quality and the sound is great. I'm not the most discerning musically so the fit the bill for me. A little tight on the head, but that's my head's fault, not the headphones.

Excellent

  • Summary: These headphones are fantastic, especially at the current price (£60). The build quality is extremely good and premium materials are used throughout. The sound quality is excellent, albeit the treble is a little lower than other headphones.
