Summary: well i am new into this but you don't need to be an expert to judge a good headphone
1. extreme comfort, you can wear it for many hours with no fatigue at all, no sweating, your ear doesn't touch driver grill or the surrounding pad and the only complain sometimes you feel the need to itch because of the pad fabric
2. good cable built quality and nice packaging, and the headphone built is prestigious
Pros: extreme comfort, superb bass, detachable cable, good space and frequency range
Summary: Great build, look nice and superb sound with headphone amp. BUT: foam ear cups far too itchy and firm. there is no sculpturing or pivot , so they sit against the widest part of the head and do not envelop the ears properly. Moreover, the space for the ears is too small, and so the pinna is either rolled up inside or being pressed against. Plus, the ear cups are not replaceable - the fabric is stretched tightly over the metal inner cup structure...
Summary: They sound great and aren't tiring in any way. Its a shame you cant get replacement ear pads and Im disappointed that they don't come with a case. Does anyone know of a case that they would fit in?
Make sure you like open back headphones before you buy...

Summary: First of all my point of reference when it comes to audio is that im used to listening to fairly high end setup of Marantz and B&W speakers so yeah a couple of grands worth of hifi. Therefore you will find my review a bit more critical than other users that are newish to hifi. I know it sounds obvious but make sure you try open back headphones before you buy these.
Summary: Okay the stock cable does the job but has high levels of resistance and I found it to centralise vocals more than I would expect in movies and music. There's a bit of detail being contained in there which opens up with a replacement cable. I don't know if this was by intention from Philips or an oversight but buying the Fisual S-Flex Mini cable for £13 was a great decision.
Summary: The only mistake I made was buying them for work. Because they have an open ear design the sound does flood out from the headphones so my coworkers can hear what I am listening to. This I suppose does create better sound for me, but maybe not my neighbors haha. They are very comfortable, amazing sound, and look great however I need to keep the volume down low. They would make a great home set for sure.
