  • Summary: The Philips M1 has the most treble rolloff of any headphone I've owned. Compared to the Shure 1840 which isn't bright, the M1 is down about 12 db at 7 khz and 16 db at 10 khz. The construction or build is comparable to an average $100 headphone, and this sound and build quality are very different...

Great sound and design for the price.

  • Summary: My Favorite Headphones under $200.
  • Pros: The M1s sound amazing with lots of different genres of music. They also look great and well designed for everyday use. For this price I don't think you can get much better sound quality despite what the Cnet review says. Easy buy for me.
  • Cons: They Don't fold completely. Could have some more bass.

Build quality after 1 year is really disappointing.

  • Summary: I've had these headphones for about a year now. At first they were excellent and sound quality is very good. Unfortunately the build quality really lets them down. Firstly, the screws that look like they're metal are actually plastic hinges. I dropped the headphones once and one of them snapped.

  • Summary: Did a lot of research before deciding on these phones and was hoping the phones would be just what I needed ... how wrong could I be !! Firstly, the headphones are dark blue, not black as they look in the photos - they are however VERY nicely made.

  • Summary: I have this phones for more than a year now, and i have to say these are far the best headphones under £200 that i have ever tried, giving a slap on the face of many corded sets in the higher price range too.

Excellent value and fantastic sound

  • Summary: Simply the best headphones I have bought to date. Their not flat by any means (perhaps a little more on the low end) but I like that in a set of headphones; the treble is still crisp. Good range and I've never managed to run the battery flat even after a couple of weeks moderate use.

  • Summary: Excellent headphones, but do get a bit warm after wearing for a while. Good controls, good range, comfortable to wear. Got these for under 150, which was great considering the rrp was nearly 250.
