Phiaton MS 400 (Second-Generation) Review

26 January 2011
  • Excerpt: Have you ever filled out a customer comment card and turned it in but, deep down, felt like your opinion probably wouldn’t be considered or valued? Yeah, we understand. When we review products we hope (with subdued skepticism) that the manufacturer might just take some of our suggestions to heart and maybe even implement them. Alas, such is rarely the case.
  • Pros: Powerful yet balanced sound, Very comfortable, Great sensitivity, Classy new black color schema
  • Cons: Difficult to pack into storage case, Midrange may be a little laid back for some listeners

Phiaton MS 400 (Moderna Series)

PC Magazine
17 June 2010
  • Conclusion: Phiaton's MS 400 headphones sound extremely crisp in the high frequency range while delivering a strong low-frequency punch—ideal for fans of rap, heavy rock, and electronic music.
  • Pros: Powerful bass response. Crisp high-end. Includes carrying case, 6.3mm stereo adapter.
  • Cons: Not for audiophiles. Can be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. Flashy design might not appeal to all.

Phiaton Moderna MS 400 Review

23 July 2009
  • Conclusion: Fifty years of audio experience from parent company Cresyn shine through in the MS 400. They’re the rare pair of headphones that sound as good as their seductive good looks suggest, seamlessly coupling innovative style with jaw-dropping sound. You’ll pay for the privilege, but we consider $250 a fair, if slightly steep, price for admission to the world of superlative audio that these cans unlock.
  • Pros: Loud but likeable styling; comfortable for extended wear; excellent detail and imaging; tight, well-balanced sound
  • Cons: Ultra-short cable; difficult to fit into carrying case; audiophile-grade price tag

Phiaton MS 400: flippiger Kopfhörer mit ausgewogenem Klang

22 December 2009
  • Pros: ausgezeichneter Klang, ausgefallenes Design, bequemer Sitz
  • Cons: Ohrmuscheln werden schnell warm, kurzes Kabel
