Summary: Another user said this product was very hard to hear, however if you select the language first (english) then turn up the volume afterwards, then it is very loud!! I found it very easy to connect to my phone and people think that I'm in my office and not my truck which has a loud exhaust system that is blocked out by the noise canceling software in the Parrot device..
Summary: I bought three of these units for my family and I am confident I made a good choice. I always felt like I had been assimilated into the Borg whenever I used a bluetooth headset. I'm on the road a lot these days and my kids are away at college. We stay in touch by cell. I got one unit for my car and one each for my son and daughter. Last Sunday was the first time we used all three units in a conference call and the clarity of the sound was terrific.
Summary: I was excited about the quality of the item for the price, but we have been have some difficulties working the parrot. The voice is very clear, better than my cell phone. The issues we ran into is that sometimes during the conversation the voice is so low you can't hear the person talking, then it gets louder. Overall not bad.
Summary: I purchased this for christmas for my son in law who drives a tow truck. He doesn't like using headsets. My daughter suggested one of the bluetooth speaker sets that go through the vehicles speakers. They are very expensive & must be professionaly installed. I decided to try the portable type. I found the parrot on overstock & researched it on the net. I was happy with the price so I ordered it.
Summary: GREAT SOUND QUALITY. I FIND I HAVE TO TURN THE VOLUME DOWN BECAUSE IT IS TOO LOUD. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS I CAN HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH NO PROBLEM. I HAVE A LOT OF ROAD NOISE IN MY CAR SO THIS WAS THE BEST CHOICE FOR ME.
Summary: Works like a charm. Serval years ago had tried and returned the Motorola verison of the same looking product. It had no volume, so it was almost inaudible while moving. No comparison with more than adequate volume and clarity. Again the voice recognition bears no resemblance to the Motorola version, this one works! Recommended to others who bought it and loved it. Great to use hands free on a desk as well, multiple parties can participate in the call.
Summary: Overall a pretty good piece of kit.Call quality is excellent and the pairing of your device is a breeze.A great alternative if you don't want to hard wire a hands free car kit to your vechicle.
What Good is Talking on a Parrot that Doesn't Answer?
25 May 2010
Excerpt: If you lease your car, you’ll find that the leasing companies don’t want you to do anything to damage the interior or exterior, as it will lessen the resale value. Because of this, buying a Bluetooth hands-free set for your mobile phone is practically essential. That’s why we bought this Parrot Minikit, and after several months of use, here’s what we discovered. First of all, this needs to be charged up for about 6-8 hours before you can use it.
Pros: You can get several menu languages, and . . . um . . . it looks nice?
Cons: Not great sound, complicated setup and connections, drops connection, and much more
Summary: tres simple et tres pratique plus besoin de trifouiller son répertoire (risque d'accident) pour appeler ou recevoir un appel. le seul regret c'est l'autonomie de l'appareil, il ne faut pas oublié de le recharger assez souvent.
