These are active noise cancelling earphones, which is not apparent in the product details here at ciao, unless you peer rather closely at the picture. Technically they work, but I don't like them. Here's why. --- What is noise cancelling? --- Noise cancelling means that a microphone detects background noise and tries to cancel it by emitting equal and opposite sounds from the earphones so the pressure wave never reach your tender ear...
  • Pros: Lightweight, sounds good, looks good, volume control
  • Cons: Has to be uncomfortably tight to make noise cancellation work
