FANTASTIC for recording BOTH sides of ANY phone conversation

Summary: FANTASTIC for recording BOTH sides of ANY phone conversation! Simple, reliable...it just works...period! Crystal clear recordings of both sides of any telephone conversation. A must have addition to your voice recorder.
Summary: This telephone pickup works, and it works very well, my only complaint is slight ear discomfort. It's about the size of an ear-bud but the feeling is a bit .. off. That said, I fully recommend it. I've discovered a nice trick - it makes a VERY handy dictation microphone, without a telephone. Instead of using a clip-on microphone in a digital recorder or dictaphone, you can simply wear this in your ear, ear-bug style, and dictate.
Summary: I did not have particularly high hopes for the efficiency of this product, but figured if it even minimally delivered, I would be ok with that. Well, it performed horribly. The recording volume and quality was terrible. I actually achieved far superior results without the mic, and just recording open air with my Olympus digital voice recorder. I've used several different telephone mics over the years for conducting interviews, but this is by far the worst.
Summary: I needed this for qualitative phone interviews for my thesis. I plugged this baby into the microphone jack of the recorder and it proved its worth immediately. Absolutely no problems, easy to use, and it picks sound up really well. It captured both my voice and the person's voice I was recording very clearly. I do not know what other reviewers are talking about when they say that it is fragile.
Summary: I've used Olympus products for the past several years and found them to be high quality. The TP-8, however, is a piece of junk. I used it one time and the earpiece separated. Since I assumed when I ordered it that it would be a good product, I threw away the original packaging upon receipt. Now I'm stuck with it. Twenty bucks, down the drain. Thanks, Olympus.
Summary: Works great for what I need. I didn't realize, but the microphone is "in" the earpiece.. you simply put the earpiece in your ear, and use the phone like normal. A bit weird at first, and a pain if you switch ears a lot, but it does what it's supposed to do.
