light is all right!

Michael, Crutchfield
21 September 2015
 • Summary: So I am exhausted from listening to so many headphones and I am happy to say the HP50s may be the steal of the headphone offerings. I felt they had comparable clarity and detail to over ear headphones in the $400 range.
 • Pros: Comfort and good isolation. Good warm, detailed sound.
 • Cons: The flat headband shifts a bit when moving your head and could have been a tad more padded.

Velvety Sound, but short on bass

Mark A, Crutchfield
18 June 2015
 • Summary: Overall, they sound great. Silky smooth highs and velvety midrange. Perfect for jazz, and any genre of music that doesn't have a lot of low end. For rock, I found them lacking, particularly on bass-heavy tracks.
 • Pros: Velvety midrange and silky smooth highs. You'll hear subtle notes and undertones in your music that you've probably never heard before.
 • Cons: Bass is lacking, especially for those tracks requiring a lot of low end impact.

Excellent sound

 • Summary: I love the sound of these headphones. They are very detailed, with nice full bass that is not over-emphasized like in some others that I listened to. They fit my large head well, and are very comfortable overall.
 • Pros: Excellent sound. Very well built.
 • Cons: Not super attractive compared to some of the other headphones Pressure point after extended use

Wonderful Sound

Jim, Crutchfield
18 March 2015
 • Summary: This is a great sounding headphone. Very balanced, clear, and non fatiguing. The only negatives are the squarish headband looks a bit odd when wearing them (though they are comfortable), and I wish sound isolation was a bit better.
 • Pros: Sound quality even with portable device, comfortable.
 • Cons: Sound isolation could be better, squarish headband design looks a bit odd when wearing them.

Excellent value

Chad, Crutchfield
21 January 2015
 • Summary: I was looking for a pair of general use closed-back headphones with a replaceable cable that I could use for games, movies, and music.

After a solid 2 days of burn in time, these things really open up and sound amazing.
 • Pros: Open, clear, sound that competes with $400 headphones Compatible with V-Moda BoomPro microphone
 • Cons: Plastic on the ear cups feels a little cheap

Outstanding Sound, Average Comfort and Build Quality

Bob, Crutchfield
13 October 2014
 • Summary: Outstanding and accurate sound, excellent in all aspects, with great accurate bass, sparkly but not overdone treble, and wonderful mid range. Comfort is average, they are very lightweight and have a strange headband that does not in any way follow the contours of ones head, resulting in them resting...
 • Pros: Sound quality
 • Cons: Comfort and build are average, at best.

Perfect without the pressure point

Ramy, Crutchfield
13 August 2014
 • Summary: Excellent headphone build-wise and sound-wise for the price (and perhaps even if price was higher). Love the bells and whistles such as option to insert cable on either side, flat cable, microphone, etc. Ear pads are top-notch.
 • Pros: Sound, build, look, features, etc.
 • Cons: Uncomfortable headband

User Review

Леонов Александр, Yandex
29 November 2015
