So disappointing

Jason D., Newegg
25 August 2013
  • Summary: When they work, they work great. Sadly they spend enough time not working that it's just not worth it for me to keep fighting with them. A very expensive headset for how unreliable they are.
  • Pros: - They sound great. I listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, and it came through beautifully in these. - They fit securely to the head and don't come loose. Some could find the snuggness uncomfortable, but it didn't bother me, even with glasses. - A charge typically lasted me a week or more using t...
  • Cons: - Power button is AWFUL. Right out of the box it worked fine, but within a week or two it stops making reliable connection and you just kind of have to hold it and hope it works, try pushing at different angles, etc. My first one the power button eventually stopped working entirely and I had to R...

Not the greatest headphones

Anthony B., Newegg
15 May 2013
  • Summary: Ive had two pairs of these headphones for more than 2 years. Its decent, i got a good deal on mine and bought the replacement plan. the buttons on the first set stopped working after 3 months. The buttons on my latest set barely work so i have to press down hard to increase volume or answer calls.
  • Pros: Easy to pair with your bluetooth devices, lightweight, sweat proof, long battery life
  • Cons: hard to get good sound quality, buttons stop working, can be uncomfortable around the ears

Uncomfortable

Zachery C., Newegg
14 March 2013
  • Pros: Long battery life and easy to charge. I usually get a clear bluetooth signal. Good for wireless calling.
  • Cons: They're uncomfortable. REALLY uncomfortable. Mostly I think the problem is the fact that I wear glasses because the temples on the glasses compete for space with the headphones. They pinch my ears and no matter what size ear-buds I use the inside of my ears always hurts if I wear them for more th...

Uncomfortable

Russell H., Newegg
20 February 2013
  • Summary: I am sure these fit everyone where they where manufactured. I bought these to wear to the gym and they just do not fit me properly. They are supposed to fit to your ear and hang loosley behind your head.
  • Pros: Features
  • Cons: No adjustment to fit.

Previous model was better

WILLIAM H., Newegg
30 January 2013
  • Summary: Not sure if Motorola was trying to squeeze every single cent out of selling this with inferior components or what. Comparing the S9-HD to the S10-HD is just incredible in the complete difference in construction, quality and design.
  • Pros: Good battery life bluetooth range is good.
  • Cons: Uncomfortable. I purchased this unit to replace the S9-HD in which the battery no longer functions assuming it would be as comfortable. I made a big mistake in this respect. The On / Off button is very difficult to depress when the headphones are on your head because it is smaller and does not ha...

Sweat..

Christopher P., Newegg
17 January 2013
  • Pros: Average price for a BT Headset. It was also pretty light for as sturdy as it was.
  • Cons: So, the description says "Comfortable Sweat Proof Design." This headset was most definitely not comfortable. Maybe I just have a big head, but even with the flexibility of the bars that the earpieces were attached to, it was squishing my head. None of the adapters seemed to help, they were either...

For smaller sized heads only

Paul B., Newegg
22 December 2012
  • Summary: Decent sound, but not great. Occassionally drops sound briefly in a game.
  • Pros: Wireless
  • Cons: Not for someone with a larger head (which I have now learned I apparently have). Have tried all the buds but becomes uncomfortable after about ten minutes due to lack of flexability in the back. Owned it less than 2 weeks and was searching for something else.

It's just OK

Maurice L., Newegg
29 November 2012
  • Pros: It does what it says. nothing more/nothing less
  • Cons: Can get uncomfortable after awhile. Sound quality is average. Use the largest ear buds to get the best isolation and base. Mic is average. No sound cancellation. Buttons a little difficult to use but once you get used to it, it will work. When pushed too hard, it will push against the ear and mak...

Charging Failure

James S., Newegg
26 November 2012
  • Summary: I would buy another pair if they every figure out how to make them exercise friendly. On a side note, some people did complain about the microphone during calls, but others claimed I sounded fine. They might be prone to ambient noise...I didn't have it long enough to figure this mystery out.
  • Pros: Sound and performance were both great. I had it connected and working within minutes.
  • Cons: I bought this for both work (hand's free calling) and to use while running for music. After a couple of times running, I noticed that it was not moisture proof (as advertised) and sweat was getting in the charging port....and yes, the rubber flat was definitely closed. Long story short, the charg...
