  • Summary: This new version of tour is slightly better than the old ones. The bass part is less than the first version and I can tell Beats started to care about the sound quality. But still, everything else don't go very well on this earphone. It is still closed, make people dizzy. Still, I think we can get better sound quality earphones in this price other than Beats Tour.
  • Pros: Good looking, pretty good sound-isolation
  • Cons: Everything else than the pros are cons, s till don't match the price.

Wears out too quickly for the $$$$

Jaysen, Monster Cable
6 October 2012
  • Excerpt: I got these for Christmas 2010, used everyday and now the wire is pulling out of the in line remote, so no control of the volume or track selection. As well wire is pulling out at the Y junction, now held together with hockey tape. The sound is great, but for the money I expected way more quality.
  • Pros: Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor Fit, Wears Out Quickly

Great but Slippery

Ehhpic, Monster Cable
6 October 2012
  • Excerpt: Love the look and feel of these buds. I just cant get them to stay in my ears past a few minutes when jogging or even low impact activities such as the elliptical machine! I have used every bud size combo but darn it if I can't get them to stay in! Mine did not come with the over the ear hooks and I would like to order a pair of those to try them out. LOVE the sound HATE that they fall out constantly!
  • Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Bass, Great Sound, Stylish
  • Cons: Falls Off/Out Of Ear, Uncomfortable

Not too good for Classic Rock

Steve From Simi, Crutchfield

  • Summary: If you listen to rap, electronic or metal with heavy double-drumming and bass lines, these IEH's will do ya just fine. If you're like me, a Classic Rock fan, my $30 JVC IEH's do a better job overall. Having said that, the sound clarity on all my music is much better with the Beats Tour IEH's. Great on the highs and mids. I listen to a lot of audiobooks as well, and they sound better as well.
  • Pros: Great highs and clarity. Tips fit snugly. This is not my first rodeo with IEH's ( listen to my iPod 7 days a week, at least 6 hours a day for the past 5 years). I've gone through many, many similarly built IEH's, and these fit as well as any of the other I've purchsed. Good noise reduction when seated properly.
  • Cons: No significant improvement over cheaper IEH's on the bass, which is what I bought these for. Probably great for rap-only listening., but I hate rap.

  • Summary: Build Quality In this category I was very surprised, I've roughed these earphones up quite a bit; and I've even nearly stepped on them, but they still work. The cable is decently sized I wish that the cable was thicker like the previous version. But overall on build quality these are built pretty damn well.   In The Box This product comes many accesories. They come with many ear tips so you could get the perfect fit for however size your ears are.
  • Pros: Built well, looks good, decent sound if you like hip hop or elctronic music, many accesories
  • Cons: only fitted for certain genres, powerfull bass, mettalic sounding treble

Loud and packing great bass but..

Dom, Amazon
  • Summary: The latest in a long line of headphones (I have a terrible habit of leaving headphones on airplanes!). I recently lost my Nocs NS800s which were fabulous. These Beats headphones are OK. Certainly louder and pack loads of bass compared to the NS800s but they're missing mid range and highs by the bucket load. Also the feel a bit clumsy in the ear after the tiny Nocs. They also feel cheap and plasticky. If you want loads of bass and god volume, then Beats are for you.
