Beats Solo are overpriced pieces of junk
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The only thing I had to hear about before knowing this product was garbage was "Monster". This company is infamous for their shady business practices. Do a quick google search for "monster blue jean cable" and you will find lawsuit Monster tried to file against Blue Jean over a cable that looked too much like...a cable Monster claimed to have sold. Needless to say, that was dropped.
Summary: The good:These are very nice looking headphones which are also very portable. They fold up into a small package for easy travel. I don't think these feel to cheap.
The bad: Upon putting these on I was surprised at how bad the sound quality was. The bass was overpowering and also a bit muddy. Mids and highs were barely there. These are expensive headphones and the sound quality isn't any better than a $100 pair ( I am comparing to my MDR-ZX600 right now ).
Summary: After having the dre beats for only two days they seem to be breaking when they are turned on a large static sound comes out the left earphone, and after looking online this means they are broken and a common issue.....after two days also the wire needs to be pulled out in such a way that may cause damage to the wire due to the head port having no room for grip
Summary: The sound spill is most worst bug bear! People have repeattedly ask me to turn them down even though i haven't had them on to the fullest - my old Seinheisers got much louded, clearer and i didn't get bothered on the tube constantly. They really hurt my head too! According to Nike i have a medium sized head so these really shoudn't hurt this much! I want a new pair... I wish i hadn't got these, not worth the price at all...
Pros: Loud, clear enough for the average user
Cons: Muggy (as reviewed), obtrusive, spills sound out, bad design, hurts my head
