Very well built

Christopher N., Newegg
5 November 2011
  • Summary: I am not disappointed and I would recommend them to anyone that asked.
  • Pros: A-, Very light weight and comfortable. They block outside noise extremely well. The headband extension area is very tight and securely stays in whatever length you choose. Metal hinges for durability. They reproduce low frequency bass tones extremely well. The mids and highs are also very clear. ...
  • Cons: Mids and highs not quite as loud as some may want when there is a lot of bass tones in a song. In other words, if the song has a lot of bass it can somewhat dull down the mids and highs, but it is by no means a problem for me. I suppose for $180 you might expect it not to even be a noticeable thing.

Mud

Alexander D., Newegg
5 October 2011
  • Summary: For this price range look into some grado or sennies... If they aren't loud enough then pick up an e5 or e6 amp for your ipod and thank me...
  • Pros: Borrowed these for a week from a friend who raved and raved about the sound. So i guess the pro is I didn't pay for them
  • Cons: They sound like mud. The mids are muddy, the bass isn't defined, and the highs sound like they where stepped on. These sound like a great pair of $50 headphones, but for 200 they are junk...

sound great!

Anonymous, Newegg
10 July 2011
  • Summary: Hype aside, these are good headphones and the price can't be beat (pun intended!).
  • Pros: Compared to similar brands, these headphones are comfortable (not tight fitting) and sound really good! The bass isn't as overwhelming as some others have said...although I'd describe the sound as "natural." Natural to some people is "flat" or "muddy" as I've come to find out.
  • Cons: still a premium price because of the hype.
