"Great Bass, Good for House, Rap, Rock and Pop"

dpvillanueva, CNET
10 May 2014
  • Summary: The Beats Pro, once burned in is best for house, rap, rock, and pop music.  "Audiophile" type music, that which emphasize the vocals above instruments are not so good and can get muddled.  Staging, depending on the mix of the song can be either very good or very confusing.
  • Pros: Good Lows and Good highs
  • Cons: Heavy, Uncomfortable to Wear for long periods

  • Summary: I'm loving theses headphones. I will say though that if you don't listen to music with a good amount of bass you may want to check out Bose. Some of my music has bass and some doesn't. I have a pair of both so I'm set. Theses headphones really do meet expectations. Some songs really blow me away with how intense the bass is. I'm am thoroughly impressed with these headphones. I really hated on them until I got my own set.

  • Excerpt: I use the product to watch movies ands listen to music. It work great with songs with heavy bass and to capture the hd sound of movies. The only cons are that it is heavy and takes a toll on your neck and ears.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable
  • Cons: Bulky/Heavy

BeatsT ProT Headphones

  • Summary: Similar to other head phones in this price range, the audio quality is outstanding. When listening from a personal computer the range is nearly complete, if you are a bass fanatic I would recommend getting a decent amplifier. Personal listening includes: pop, classical, jazz, and R&B with an amp. While listening to pop the instruments are easily distinguishable and the artist is singing to you.
  • Pros: a) Great sound quality with an amplifier [see review above]. b) They should stand the test of time with the aluminum frame and plush ear cushions. c) The noise is suppression is impressive as there Beats are not noise canceling. With the volume extremely low I can barely hear some one speaking 10' feet away. I have not tried them in flight, will test within the month.
  • Cons: a) The quality costs - $ + an amplifier. b) Here is the sacrifice - weight - after an hour or more I have a slight headache due to the pressure on top of my head. This subsides with time of wear hopefully. c) To be determined as a con or pro is the compression on the ears, the ear pieces are snug causing a minor compression headache. -Will try to give an update in 6 months.

depends on what music you listen to

  • Excerpt: I got these headphones as a gift from my friends. These are my first proper headphones that I've used and owned. The audio quality is significantly different from apple earphones. So to me the audio quality is great on these headphones but to other people it's not. According to them the bass is overpowered but I wouldn't know cause I bass boost and EQ my music. Although the main problem with these headphones is their price.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Consistent, Durable, Easy to Clean, Easy To Use, Excellent Bass, Excellent Sound, Hard to dirty, Loud, Stylish, Versatile
  • Cons: Bulky, Daisy chaining-bad audio, Hard to re-attach ear cup, Heavy, Loud, Overpowering Bass, Pricy
