  • Summary: I bought the beats pros for a Christmas gift on Nov 26 through walmart.com, my son opened them on Christmas morning (this was his only gift because of the cost) and there was a wire sticking out, the ear padding on one side fell off when he tried them on for the first time, and there was some small 'indentations' around that side of the ear piece (like someone has tampered with it?).

  • Summary: These are not worth the $. Don't be fooled by paying double for the name Dre. He doesn't use any of his beats line in the studio, so why should you. I'm an audiophile nut and have used and reviewed dozens of headphones. Get yourself a pair of AudioTechnica ATH-M50s (found in most serious recording studios including Dre's) and a Fiio E11 headphone amp. You can get both for about $200 and have twice the sound quality at half the price of the beats.

Looks okay, but very heavy.

  • Summary: Beats Pro are a waste of money and I recommend that you buy something else other than beats pro and I recommend beats studio 2013. If you really want to buy it, try it on first, then decide.
  • Pros: The design is not bad.
  • Cons: It is heavy and overpriced, and very uncomfortable!!!

Don't buy

Dolores L., Newegg
31 December 2013
  • Summary: DON'T BUY THESE. GET HEADPHONES FROM A COMPANY THAT KNOWS HOW TO MAKE REAL AUDIO GEAR. (Sennheiser, Bose Audiotechnica etc.
  • Pros: none
  • Cons: Inferior to every way to my bose AE2 headphones and cost more that twice as much. WAY TOO MUCH BASS. The bass drowns out the treble massively.

Awful

Cglafenhein, pcrichard.com

  • Excerpt: I'll start off on a good note for this. These headphones have absolutely indestructible built quality. The styling is fantastic and they are very comfortable. The sound however, completely unacceptable. I paid [$]for these and expected top notch professional quality and they did not deliver. The bass is muddy and not impressive, the mids are present but understated, and the highs lack the precision of higher quality headphones.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy
  • Cons: Limited Features, Muddy bass, No highs, No mids, Not Consistent, Poor Quality Sound, Wears Over Time
