Excerpt: I'll start off on a good note for this. These headphones have absolutely indestructible built quality. The styling is fantastic and they are very comfortable. The sound however, completely unacceptable. I paid [$]for these and expected top notch professional quality and they did not deliver. The bass is muddy and not impressive, the mids are present but understated, and the highs lack the precision of higher quality headphones.
Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy
Cons: Limited Features, Muddy bass, No highs, No mids, Not Consistent, Poor Quality Sound, Wears Over Time
Excerpt: I have solo HD's and just got the Pros, and the solo have a better sound quality to them and the pros, there is only one side working. what ever side the cord is pluged into. They where almost twice the amount.
Excerpt: I am a passionate about music in general, therefore I invest in quality products. I have always preferred Sennheiser, Bose, and Infinity audio. The Beats by Dre are by far the best sounding headphones hands down! The headphones are very well made. However, they hurt not only my ear cartilage but my head as well . I wear a size 7 1/4 hat size (average ear size), so basically I have a average size noggin. I can wear these for 30 minutes, then I have to take them off.
Excerpt: I have had the Beats Pro for a month now. They seem to do fine with music that is limited in its creative/sound range (overuse of base) but as soon as a more textured/sophisticated piece of music is played, Beats's limitations become quickly apparent.
Excerpt: Do not buy those headphones. Better look for B&W P5, Sennheiser HD 25-1 II or Beyerdynamic DT 1350 for prtable use. For home use check out Audiotechnica ATH M50, Beyerdynamic DT 770, DT 880, DT 990, Sennheiser HD 650, HD 448, HD 598, AKG 60X, 70X or check out Grado´s, Sony´s, Ultrasone´s.
All those headphones offer same/better sound quality for less money or sound way better for the same amount.
Excerpt: I really am amazed at the fuss about beatsbydre...my prior thoughts were "cool muffs, it's gotta be awesome!" Unboxing was fun and i hurriedly hooked it up...instantly thought "man it's freakin heavy!".
The sound is great but nothing will elude the feeling of its discomfort!
