Excerpt: Good quality, works well and no complaints on microphone quality from associates when using. The package did not have a driver, so had to download from MS. Problem with work laptop is I had to contact business IT dept to allow me to download driver. Unfortunately, it wasn't plug and play on company PC, but home laptop had no issue.
Excerpt: Not a bad headphone set, not great either. The in-line mute/volume/call answer "pod" should be closer to the headset, it hangs down too far (I'm 6'3" tall) and as a result there's interference with the armrest on the office chair. On more than one occasion the mute button was accidentally activated............. resulting in a missed call.
Pros: Cheap, easy use, sound quality was decent, comfortable, overall a decent headset.
Cons: Broke in 3 months, the wiring around the mute and volume buttons was ruined, currently using duct tape to hold it together so the mic works. The audio still comes out fine, but the mic is barely working. It didn't last very long, and I take care of my headsets, but I guess that's what you get for a $40 headset
Excerpt: Great sound quality, but it is realy heavy, and the in-line controls are poorly placed AND heavy. So heavy that you can feel the weight on the side of the headphones with the cord. What were they thinking?? I recommend it based on sound quality, but they have a long way to go on ergonomics!
Pros: Great Sound Quality, Noise Supression, Quality Microphone
Cons: Bulky Design, Heavy, In line mutevolume size
Excerpt: Also, the ear pieces come off easily after 3 or 4 months. I was able to put them back on, but they fall off constantly now. It’s a big hassle. I really hate that it turned out the way it did because I really loved the headset at first. But, when I finally replace them again, I won’t be buying a Microsoft LX-3000 Headset. Next time, I’ll buy any other brand and model and I’d advise anyone to skip this one because it just doesn’t last very long.
