It's okay

David G., Newegg
16 February 2015
  • Summary: 3 eggs because my first one worked great for 2 years and the new one barely worked and now is dead. Hit or miss i guess.
  • Pros: First one I had worked great for about 2 years. Only replaced it due to me accidentally breaking off a headphone.
  • Cons: Ordered a new one and it came with something rattling. Newegg was quick to replace it. After 2 months with my replacement, it has stopped working. My friends started telling me I was cutting in and out. I watched in the call settings to confirm what they were saying. After cutting in and out the ...

Ok but Cable and Plug is Flimsy

John P., Newegg
1 November 2014
  • Summary: I've owned ALOT worse. Many headphone/microphone combos I've owed were a lot flimsier with really thin cords
  • Pros: Good sound, mic works well
  • Cons: The cord and USB plug is sort of flimsy. My kids have managed to almost separated the USB plug from the rubber boot. It still works and my kids may be a little rough.

Okay Product

moabgohan, Staples
20 May 2014
  • Excerpt: It was a little hard to get this product to work. It wasn't just a simple plug and play device. I had to change multiple computer settings in order to get it work and for some reason after I got the microphone working my web cam would no longer work.

Just OK

Smitty, Staples
28 March 2013
  • Excerpt: Not a bad headphone set, not great either. The in-line mute/volume/call answer "pod" should be closer to the headset, it hangs down too far (I'm 6'3" tall) and as a result there's interference with the armrest on the office chair.

Great... While they work

Adrian J., Newegg
18 March 2013
  • Summary: Mic quality for this price is superb, sad to see it's discontinued.
  • Pros: While they're working, they're wonderful. Mic comes through crystal clear on the other side, everyone is happy. Sound quality isn't the best, but I didn't buy them for that anyway.
  • Cons: They stop working randomly. And then windows refuses to recognize them for the first 20 times I plug them back in. Really, really annoying, and it happens often. Maybe it's a defective set and I'll have to get them replaced, but I've only owned them for two days now and it's happened six times.

It was ok...

Cheri R., Newegg
18 March 2013
  • Pros: Cheap, easy use, sound quality was decent, comfortable, overall a decent headset.
  • Cons: Broke in 3 months, the wiring around the mute and volume buttons was ruined, currently using duct tape to hold it together so the mic works. The audio still comes out fine, but the mic is barely working. It didn't last very long, and I take care of my headsets, but I guess that's what you get for...

Only for its purpose - voice &chat

Igor P., Newegg
27 January 2013
  • Summary: This headset corresponds to its name - "...chat". If you are picky music lover, then don't try to listen to music through them or you'll get mad. The situation still can be improved a little if you use the internal software equaliser of player.
  • Pros: Quality of construction os OK (plastic, materials, parts and manufacturing). There will be no noise in your voice. Volume regulation and mic mute in-line.
  • Cons: OK only for voice (and a little for games), but not for music. You cannot decrease the sound volume till zero - it remains quite noticeable. If you have a high price and quality discrete sound card in your desktop PC, then bear in mind that it will not be used at all, since this headset is USB an...
