David G., Newegg
16 February 2015
Summary: 3 eggs because my first one worked great for 2 years and the new one barely worked and now is dead. Hit or miss i guess.
Pros: First one I had worked great for about 2 years. Only replaced it due to me accidentally breaking off a headphone.
Cons: Ordered a new one and it came with something rattling. Newegg was quick to replace it. After 2 months with my replacement, it has stopped working. My friends started telling me I was cutting in and out. I watched in the call settings to confirm what they were saying. After cutting in and out the ...
Excerpt: It was a little hard to get this product to work. It wasn't just a simple plug and play device. I had to change multiple computer settings in order to get it work and for some reason after I got the microphone working my web cam would no longer work.
Excerpt: Good quality, works well and no complaints on microphone quality from associates when using. The package did not have a driver, so had to download from MS. Problem with work laptop is I had to contact business IT dept to allow me to download driver.
Excerpt: Not a bad headphone set, not great either. The in-line mute/volume/call answer "pod" should be closer to the headset, it hangs down too far (I'm 6'3" tall) and as a result there's interference with the armrest on the office chair.
Summary: Mic quality for this price is superb, sad to see it's discontinued.
Pros: While they're working, they're wonderful. Mic comes through crystal clear on the other side, everyone is happy. Sound quality isn't the best, but I didn't buy them for that anyway.
Cons: They stop working randomly. And then windows refuses to recognize them for the first 20 times I plug them back in. Really, really annoying, and it happens often. Maybe it's a defective set and I'll have to get them replaced, but I've only owned them for two days now and it's happened six times.
Pros: Cheap, easy use, sound quality was decent, comfortable, overall a decent headset.
Cons: Broke in 3 months, the wiring around the mute and volume buttons was ruined, currently using duct tape to hold it together so the mic works. The audio still comes out fine, but the mic is barely working. It didn't last very long, and I take care of my headsets, but I guess that's what you get for...
Summary: This headset corresponds to its name - "...chat". If you are picky music lover, then don't try to listen to music through them or you'll get mad. The situation still can be improved a little if you use the internal software equaliser of player.
Pros: Quality of construction os OK (plastic, materials, parts and manufacturing). There will be no noise in your voice. Volume regulation and mic mute in-line.
Cons: OK only for voice (and a little for games), but not for music. You cannot decrease the sound volume till zero - it remains quite noticeable. If you have a high price and quality discrete sound card in your desktop PC, then bear in mind that it will not be used at all, since this headset is USB an...
