you get what you pay for

Renhao Z., Newegg
25 July 2014
  • Summary: I'm probably going to RMA this product if customer support can't resolve the uneven volume issue. Guess I shouldn't be surprise at the price I paid. But for the amount listed and advertised, you wouldn't expect such quality issues.
  • Pros: cheap and on sale.
  • Cons: lousy build quality - movement of facial muscles or jaws result in something loose flexing inside the left earpiece. It sounds like paper crinkling. The sound volume is also noticeably uneven in this earpiece. I have tried this earphone on multiple devices, compared with other earphones and confi...

Lifeless, flat sound

David H., Newegg
16 April 2012
  • Summary: You can get better cheap headphones for sure!
  • Pros: Surprisingly good build quality.
  • Cons: These headphones do not sound terrible, but you can do much better for the price. Right now I'm using Altec Lansing 206's, which I bought shipped for eight bucks, and these MEEs sound terrible in comparison. Highs are dead, the mids are dull and the bass is unusually finicky about how the driver ...

  • Summary: I would not recommend it
  • Pros: Cheap Different earplug sizes and shapes
  • Cons: Bad sound quality, really bad bass reproduction definitely not Hi-Fi. Also Microphone is awful it's really poor quality and you have to keep it right in front of your mouth for your contact to hear you.

Good sound, bad mic

J S., Newegg
9 March 2012
  • Summary: It's just not possible to offer a product that cheap that works. Sorry but I'll need to pay 60$+ to really get what I want.
  • Pros: Very cheap compared to similar models. Construction seems sturdy. Good sound. Different earplug sizes.
  • Cons: Poor quality microphone. Strong echo that keeps me from talking to my contacts.

No volume out of earbud

michael h., Newegg
17 August 2011
  • Summary: The price was right and I was impressed with sound quality, but they are worthless now since I am not getting volume out of one of the ear buds. I have sent an email into their customer service department and am waiting for a response from them.
  • Pros: 1 Great Sound 2 Nice travel case 3 Quick delivery
  • Cons: 1 Stopped working after 5 months

These short out easily, sound quality not that awesome.

Andrew H., Newegg
10 August 2011
  • Summary: For $19, I'm not sure what to tell you. They fit better than the apple iphone headphones, they just don't last as long. My second pair in 14 months just died. I won't buy anything from MMElectronics again. My cheaper Rosewill headphones have out lasted these.
  • Pros: The worked fine for the first little while?
  • Cons: These short out very easily. I'm on my second pair, and it has the same problems as the last one. The jack shorts out very easily, rendering them useless.

Nope!

Paul B., Newegg
14 April 2011
  • Summary: I gave it 2 stars because it works. It just doesn't work well. If you are looking for a cheap alternative, fine. Just understand it is a cheap alternative. Spend the extra money so you don't have to repeat yourself over and over again.
  • Pros: They fit in your ears, they plug into a phone
  • Cons: No one can hear me when I have these in. Just horrible for using with a phone. I'd almost rather get the ticket.

Good Headphones-Bad Headset

Naveen M., Newegg
5 February 2011
  • Pros: Great Bass on it. Loved hearing the music, great accessories (Case, wrap, multiple rubbers)
  • Cons: BAD BAD Microphone . You had to be holding it close to the mouth . Otherwise people say you sound muffled etc. Also Mic on one earpiece means you have to have the one with the mic in your ear/ Even with that you have to hold the mic to your mouth to send clear sound.

Not for phone call use

Aaron B., Newegg
1 February 2011
  • Summary: Low rating is entirely for the Mic. These are nearly 5 egg just for the earbud quality (especially on the $10 ss), but it was important for me that the Mic is horribly soft and does not pick up well.
  • Pros: Picked up 2 pair on the $10 shell shocker. Great quality sound output for the price. Definitely a buy there. Earpiece selection is stellar (2 sizes double baffle, 3 sizes of single). Construction seems pretty good so far. Bonus case holds a spare cell battery nicely with headphones.
  • Cons: Microphone is terribly quiet. I bought two, gave one set to my girlfriend. I'm using them on a Samsung Vibrant, her and HTC MyTouch Slide. Even holding the microphone in front of our mouths we can barely hear more than a whisper volume on either side of the conversation. Two very different phones...
