some cons

GEORGE H., Newegg
15 November 2014
  • Summary: The 4-foot cord kept catching on things. The cord clip is delicate.
  • Pros: very good sound and noise isolation. Like the volume control.
  • Cons: I had to hold the mic up to my mouth to be heard. The plug failed after 3 months - possibly the 90 degree angle put stress on it.

All the features I wanted

Elaine K., Newegg
5 August 2014
  • Summary: If somebody had asked me to design some in-ear headphones, this is nearly exactly what I would have come up with. The flat cables are much more sturdy than the little round cables on most headphones. The mic and remote button work well whether I have them plugged into my phone or my tablet.
  • Pros: Sturdy, good sound
  • Cons: The clip for attaching it to clothes is fragile

Good Headset

James K., Newegg
5 August 2014
  • Summary: Maybe just using one earphone for this is a solution - but I prefer my iphone set for conversations. These are better for just listening to audio though.
  • Pros: These work great for listening, both the inline slider volume control and switch are a nice feature. Wide flat cables feel sturdy.
  • Cons: I have difficulty using these as a phone headset since they seal off so well in the ears. Plugging your ears while talking is the effect.

MEE - Always Good Stuff

Stephen D., Newegg
2 August 2014
  • Summary: Overall good value if priced correctly.
  • Pros: Good quality stuff if you can buy it at a discounted price. I believe that these MEE headsets are properly priced in the $20 range. Spending much more on these takes them out of the "good value" category. The sound is excellent and the controls function fine. There are also extra ear buds (two st...
  • Cons: On of my first headset, the plastic housing around the microphone and remote control broke and on my second set, one side stopped working. Regardless, I got a long service time from both (headsets take a beating) and I still feel that at $20 these are a good value.

you get what you pay for

Renhao Z., Newegg
25 July 2014
  • Summary: I'm probably going to RMA this product if customer support can't resolve the uneven volume issue. Guess I shouldn't be surprise at the price I paid. But for the amount listed and advertised, you wouldn't expect such quality issues.
  • Pros: cheap and on sale.
  • Cons: lousy build quality - movement of facial muscles or jaws result in something loose flexing inside the left earpiece. It sounds like paper crinkling. The sound volume is also noticeably uneven in this earpiece. I have tried this earphone on multiple devices, compared with other earphones and confi...

Oh No! These earbuds have a serious glitch!

Overstock
8 December 2009
  • Summary: I've owned my pair for just over a month. Like another reviewer, I'm very easy with my purchases.... But these ME earbuds have a glitch. There is 'no' re-enforcement at the plug-in base. These don't have the re-enforcement to do any type of twisting or turning.

Defective Product

Overstock
22 October 2009
  • Summary: Out of the box, almost no sound out of the right bud. Maybe I was the unlucky 1 out of 10,000 or maybe I was the unlucky 1 out of 3.

good product

Overstock
11 September 2009
  • Summary: Good product, seems quite well made with a nice little carrying case and several different sizes/shapes of ear buds. They work well and the price was great.
