MEElectronics A151 inner earphone in Review – KICKASS!!
20 July 2011
Excerpt: MEElectronics are hit makers. The M6 and M9 earph0nes defined perfection within their price points, sporting great build quality, good sound, and an impressive array of accessories. With the introduction of the A151 , MEEl have outdone themselves in a number of areas, making on of the truly must-have earphones. Caveats aside (and yes, there are a few), this new single armature earphone is a must have for every music lover with a medium-sized budget.
Conclusion: So “who’s the king of the hill?” Hmm, all in all I really like these earphones; they have great value for the asking price and perform very well overall. What’s not to like with attributes such as: good isolation, comfortable to wear, lightweight and virtually microphonics free cable, accurate sound reproduction, good detail and a bit of warmth.
Pros: Great value for price, Very comfortable and non-fatiguing, Good detail and accurate sound reproduction, Good light weight cable, almost microphonics free
Cons: Minor point – I prefer right angle 3.5mm plug over included straight plug, Poor stress relief on the 3.5mm straight plug, Loss of detail in the sub-bass region and at the very top end of the spectrum
Conclusion: Overall, I’m really pleased with the MEElectronics A151 earphones and will recommend it to my friends who are looking for a nice set of in-ear earphones under $100. The A151 design is stylish and it’s not just for the looks, but produces a better listening experience: it’s comfortable, cables don’t get tangled, enough length to go from the back of your CPU to your ears, perfect in-ear fit, great passive noise cancellation, and it sounds great!
Pros: Stylish, Long cable, giving you more room to move, Cables don’t get tangled, Sounds great, clear, crisp, Gold plated 3.5mm stereo plug, Cables over-the-ear design
Cons: Dangling cable because of the length, no shirt clip, No built-in microphone
