Summary: I prefer the ones with the plastic headbands as they seem to fit me better and are more comfortable without pushing into the ear near as much as the metal headbands do.
Pros: Good sound quality with interchangeable ear pieces for just the right fit. Long enough cord, decent quality construction.
Cons: Having the metal headband, it can push hard into the ears causing them to be sore after a while. The headband is not designed for people with smaller heads, so it has to be adjusted more than necessary.
Summary: They're currently on sale $3.39, it's a great deal, otherwise I wouldn't pay more than $5 for any cheap headphones. I buy these as backups in case my headphones break.
Pros: It's cheap, works just fine. Rather comfortable an doesn't slip off your head like the other cheap stuff. The sound quality is good for the price, better than any of the Sony headphones I bought around $15 or less.
Cons: It's cheap, it'll likely break after a few weeks of bein dropped on the floor.
Summary: I bought these for my mom recently, because she can't stand ear-buds and has used this type of headphone set for almost 20 years. She is thrilled with them, and uses them for both her CD player and her ipod shuffle. They're not quite my cup of tea, but if she's happy, I'm happy.
Summary: I prefer using small lightweight earbuds with an attached headband while enjoying audio/video media on my computer (less fumbling than separate earbuds). I find this model of Maxell earbuds to have strong clear mid-tones and good treble, but anemic bass. On the bright side, this excludes the tedious 'low frequency booming' found coming from many other low price earbuds/headphones.
Summary: These headphones do not have a very rich or strong sound. Both bass and treble are weak and almost tinny. These will work fine for "background noise," situations, like at the poker table, where you are not too concerned with good fidelity. At less than $5.00 for a pair, what can you expect?
Summary: This product has two major flaws... 1) The headband is too flimsy to stay positioned and the earbuds will absolutely not stay in place 2) The sound quality is terrible... imagine trying to listen to music inside a waterfall... all white noise (A LOT of static from treble) and very little, if any, bass.
