Excerpt: I purchased this headset to work with Dragon Speak as an input device as well as a way to listen to music while I am doing my computer work. My computer uses Windows 7, 64 bit OS. My computer recognizes this device and it works well to listen to music and I can talk into the microphone with the sounds being clear and easy to hear. However, Dragon Speak does not recognize this device for its input, basically rendering it useless for this task.
Pros: Clear Reception, Durable, Easy Controls
Cons: Not Compatible With Dragn, Not Compatible With Drago
Excerpt: I bought 2 of this headset. One for my nearly deaf husband and he LOVED it, I bought a second for me. He uses his for conference calls and we both use it to work out. The sound is fantastic. It is very comfortable. The one down side is that it gets very warm and gets wet from sweating. Fortunately it dries. We love them. As far as I know it is the only one that has ear pads and has Bluetooth capability.
Excerpt: One of the few devices which works both by USB and Bluetooth. Easy to switch between my Desktop (USB), laptop (USB or Bluetooth), iPad (Bluetooth) and Droid phone (Bluetooth). Very pleased with lack of audio lag when watching videos on any device.
Pros: Clear Reception, Easy To Pair With Devices, No Perceptible Lag, Very Good Sound Quality, Works Well In Bluetooth, Works Well In Usb Mode
Pros: Good little headset. Lightweight, comfortable pads, adjustable fit. Mic stows away neatly when not in use. Pretty good range through a few walls, was able to get about 25 feet. Close to 40' with direct line of sight. These aren't audiophile quality, but for phone calls, mobile music, even some light gaming, these things are worth it. Got these on sale during Cyber Week so the price was great as well.
Cons: My headset wasn't charged out of the box. Not a big deal to use them with the charging cable the first couple hours. Also had a bit of a freakout when Windows 7 first installed the drivers. I wanted to test them using the "audio devices" option from the systray. When it went through the test program, the right side had major popping, every time, same time during the test sounds. Thought maybe something was damaged, but once I fired up some music there was no popping -...
Excerpt: I needed a headset since the majority of my business requires me to be on the phone. With frequent phone calls prior to the H800 I was getting a kink in my neck and would occassionally drop a phone call. This added embarassment when dealing with customers. Since I got the H800 I can now enjoy a webinar or switch over to phone call on my cell phone. While working with customers I can comfortably type or dig out the necessary paperwork all the while talking to them.
Excerpt: Nice Father's Day present. Wife is no longer disturbed by my computer's speakers noise pollution. Followed instructions and experienced no problems connecting wirelessly to laptop via Bluetooth. No drivers required, Windows 8 recognized the device immediately. Sound is fine for my usage, not meant for audiophiles. Tested microphone by recording an audio clip, it works, but have not tried to communicate with it. Max range not tested.
Excerpt: I purchased this headset to use with my computer. I needed a high quality mic for voice to text and recording. It does a nice job for both. It has blue tooth, so I paired it with my Iphone 5, and was pleasantly surprised to find, it has one of the best noise canceling mic's I have ever used on a cell phone. The headset is not quite tight enough for me, but it does not interfere with my digital hearing aids.
Pros: Clear Reception, Noise Canceling Mic, Switch From Phone To Comp, Works Well With My Cell
Summary: I really like the H800. The sound quality, comfort, and convenience are outstanding. There is, however, one item that I think can be improved. The switch used for turning the H800 on to Bluetooth or USB is very hard to manipulate, especially if you are wearing the headset. It's nearly impossible to switch from USB to Bluetooth while wearing the headset. The difficult On/Off switch is annoying. I think they could do a better job with that switch.
